As Harley finished her breakfast she looked up and smiled at Ivy. Ivy smiled back at her cute little psycho as a knock came from the door. Ivy began to walk to the door, stopping momentarily to give Harley a soft kiss on the cheek as she whispered in her ear "not that I'm complaining, but you need to get dressed baby" she said motioning to the provocatively wrapped towel around Harley's torso. Harley giggled and kissed Ivy's lips back before walking upstairs. Ivy continued toward the door and opened it. Once Harley was finished getting dressed she returned down stairs to find Nightwing sitting at the table.
Harley looked over at Ivy who nodded to her, giving her a subtle sign that it was ok before Harley looked back towards Nightwing. "What are you doing here?" Harley asked. "And how did you find us?" She added. Nightwing looked at Harley for a moment before answering. "Batman sent me, not to fight or anything, but to see if you know where else Joker would be hiding out, And we've had our eyes on you two since you gave up Joker. Batman told me to tell you that to show that we're not trying to trap you or anything."
Harley and Ivy looked at each other then back at Nightwing. "He wasn't there?" Ivy asked in a concerned voice. Nightwing shook his head and looked up at Harley "I'm sorry, he wasn't" He replied in a voice that reflected genuine regret as he noticed the bandages around Harley's torso. Harley took a deep breath and replied. "I don't know where he'd be, He has several hideouts that I don't even know about." Nightwing's expression turned curious. "If you don't know about them, how do you now they exist?" He asked as Ivy set a cup of tea in front of him.
Harley chuckled and said. "Who do you think sent out the money for the bills? that scatterbrained psychopath who's only purpose in life is to fight a man dressed like a bat that he'll never beat? No, it was me." Nightwing and Ivy both chuckled. "You make a very valid point." Nightwing replied. Harley looked back to Ivy. "I have an idea that would get him to come out of hiding, but I want you and Batman there to make sure nothing happens to Red. She's the only one who's ever shown me what it's truly like to be loved." She said
That night Harley and Ivy along with Batman and Nightwing walked into an old radio tower. Harley walked over to the men running the equipment with her big psycho smile. "Can i borrow that?" She asked. Ivy couldn't help but giggle at the expressions on the men's faces as they looked to batman who nodded. "Also, you two might want to think about taking the night off." Nightwing suggested. The men stood up and walked out as Harley took one of their rolly chairs and turned the nobs on the board in front of her.
"Mr. J always scans radio signals at this time, trying to one, figure out the cops response times, and two, try to get a beat on where you are B-man." Harley said before scooting up to the microphone and pressing the button to broadcast her message. "Hey Mr.J, it's Harley, I just wanted to let you know that I'm perfectly ok, and that I've found someone much better than you that actually cares about me. They're even a better criminal than you, and no matter how hard you try, you'll never be able to match up to them, or even me for that matter, so have fun watching your empire crumble away. Oh, and if you have something you want to say, meet me at the empty lot beside the eastern most radio tower, tonight." Harley said before clicking the off button on the microphone.
"Do you really think he'll show?" Ivy asked as she looked at Harley with the same concerned look on her face from before. Harley smiled big and replied. "Oh yeah, with that message, there's no way he can resist, yes he's a psychopath, but he's also a controlling, jealous bitch, and hearing that I found someone better than him will hurt his ego so bad, there's no way he can resist." Harley answered.
As they set the scene, Harley and Ivy stood in the lot as Batman and Nightwing hid on opposite sides. Ivy took Harley's hand and held it tight. Harley smiled as a big purple Limo pulled up and Joker came barreling out of the back seat. "What in the hell makes you think you can get over me?! I own you and everything you..."Joker began to ramble as Harley stuck the barrel of her colt 45 revolver in his mouth. "For starters, the fact you kicked me out of a window. did you really think that I was just gonna stand around and wait for you to take me back? I don't need you anymore, and in fact, I don't even want you around anymore. You're a controlling, manipulative, self-centered prick who only cares about himself." Harley said before holstering her giant pistol and walking back over to Ivy, leaning against her in a provocative pose. "Now I've found someone who actually loves and cares about me, and I'm all hers." Harley said as she threw her "PUDDIN" collar in Joker's face and lowered the sleeves of her top revealing an Ivy leaf tattoo on her shoulder.
"That's right clown-face. She's mine now." Ivy said wrapping her arm around Harley's back and pulling her closer against her. Joker let out loud, angry laugh as his eyes went wide with rage seeing Harley accept her new life so easily. As Joker pulled out a pistol of his own, Batman's grappling hook sprung out and coiled around his wrists so tightly it made him drop the gun.
Joker glared at Harley with even more rage. "You set me up you little..." Joker started before Harley's hammer came slamming into his face. "Yes I did. What? did you think I was gonna let you kill the person I love? The one person who showed me what it's like to actually be loved and cared for? No. Actually if I had it my way, I would have pulled the trigger, but then I'd be going to jail instead of you." Harley said with a big smile as she gazed lovingly into Ivy's eyes. Batman handed Joker over to Captain Gordon and turned to Ivy and Harley as Nightwing smiled at them. "You really have changed Harley, and so have you Ivy. Do me a favor and don't do anything to make me arrest you two again. I'd hate to have to do that now." Batman said as Harley jumped into Ivy's arms. "No promises B-man, but we'll try." Harley said as Ivy carried her home.
As the two of them changed into their pajamas, Ivy turned to Harley. "Why didn't you just have Batman grab Joker when he showed up baby? Why go through the whole show?" Ivy asked smiling at Harley blushing bright red. Harley smiled back at her beautiful goddess. "So that he got the message and you know this story is gonna get out, so everyone will know." Harley replied, making Ivy blush even more as she laid across the bed. Harley crawled into bed and nuzzled her body into Ivy's arms, instantly feeling safe and loved as she clung to Ivy's chest and drifted off to sleep. Ivy kissed Harley's head and held her close as she pulled the blankets over them. "Sleep well and sweet dreams my cute little psycho" Ivy whispered as Harley mumbled in her sleep in response. "Goodnight my beautiful goddess, I love you." Ivy's cheeks turned bright red as she smiled and began to tear up again, whispering. "I love you too baby." before drifting off to sleep herself.
