"What about them?" I asked. I was still in shock after both Xander and Jasmine had woken up from their eternal slumber, and I hadn't realized what had caused them to wake up. I also hadn't realized what had happened to me just yet.
"Your powers, ones that others do not have, have helped your friends wake up. They weren't ever supposed..." He stops for a second. "Coco. Look at your hands." Xander and Jasmine fell completely silent before I was able to react. I slowly raised my hands, and lowered my head so I could look at them.
They were purple, and black. Just like the infection that Xander and Jasmine both had moments ago. I extended out my arm slightly so I could see further up my arm. The infection ended just before my shoulder, in cracks, mostly along my vanes. It was the infection. All four of us stood silent for a moment.
"Do...do you feel alright?" Ash asks.
    "Yeah, I'm just... I don't know."
"You must be protected by your powers."
"What powers?" I ask impatiently, with worry in my voice. I was scared, I didn't want to pass out, and get sick like my friends!
Before Ash was able to say anything, Jasmine spoke up. "There's something both of you need to know though. It's really important."
"What is it?" Ash asks quickly, with a hint of anger.
"So Coco's friend, Hero, was with both of us in our dream. While we were asleep for a few hours, I think, we were able to talk to him."
"Wait, you guys talked to Hero? And you were in the same dream together? What did he look like? What did he say?" I said.
"It's been more than a few hours, it's been days since you have last woken up." Ash added on.
"Well, just... just let me continue. He had shaggy brown hair, a black hoodie, and black pants. We had asked him where we were at, and he didn't say anything to us. We tried talking to him, and eventually, he had said something. He didn't want to talk to us. We kept pushing him though, and we started conversing. I noticed that there were bags under his eyes and a couple bruises on his face, but I never said anything about them. He said that he has been seeing things, horrible things, for as long as he has been in here. He completely lost track of time, and it was hard to tell him that four years had passed. He started asking questions about you, Coco, but then, he just stopped. It was... was..."
"It was terrifying. He fell to his knees and started shaking and clenching his stomach. He said something like 'It's happening...' which means that this has happened before. His face was completely shielded from us, and his skin turned grey, and two small, red horns grew on his head, like a demon. It looked like he was in so much pain, but none of us helped him. We were too scared. Then, in a different voice, he had said something like: "I'm sorry for that inconvenience, but your little talk is over. I have brung you here so you can send a message out to the world. Every Supernatural is in danger, and I will be there to present myself in twenty-four hours. I hope you will be there to even try to stop me."
I was horrified, relieved, and confused all at the same time. Would Hero want to turn on me? Did he really want to come to the S-League for good, or for bad? Is this the same Hero that I once knew four years ago? I was glad that he was still alive, even if it was in both of my friends' dreams, at the same time. As Jasmine explained though, he was hurt, and he was stuck inside of that place for years. How did he get in there though? What was he going though? Why did he not want to talk?
"Coco, do you know how your friend was communicating with them? And did say anything about his threat when you met in your dream?" Ash says.
"No. I have no idea. No never said anything in my dream either." I replied.
"I'm thinking that he never planned this. Since he never said anything about this threat before, and since he was pushing us away, I think there might be someone else that we don't know of." Xander explains.
"What do you mean?" Ash says.
"Your body tries to push people away when it's trying to deal with a problem. They don't want others to know about what they are going through because they don't want them to worry. I was like that too. When I was there with Hero and Jasmine, he wanted to talk with us. He let his guard down. He couldn't be the predator here, he's a victim."
"Then who could it be who has the power to control someone like that? A person from another universe? We couldn't even manage to find a way to get anything similar like that to Coco!"
"What?" I said.
Ash took a deep breath and sighed. "There's a reason why you were able to wake up both of your friends. It was because of the modification we gave you when you were younger. It's also why you were able to join this place so easily. We did it because we wanted you to join this place from when you were born. Before you had left the hospital here in New York, we had informed your parents of the modification to your genes. Of course, we have to use a few white lies to make sure your parents were okay with you joining the S-League, and it's the first time that our experiments have worked! You should be proud that we slightly modified your genes to give your powers, since it saved your friends!"
I took a step back. "So... it wasn't just luck that brought me here?"
"You were lucky to be chosen!"
"So my parents know that I'm actually here and not missing? My whole life has already been planned since I was born?"
"We thought that you would have informed your parents, but yes, they knew, and I wouldn't say that your life was 'planned out'-"
"So what about Hero? Was he ever meant to be here? Did you not care about him just because I was here? I never wanted to come here, and I only did because of Hero! I never asked to be a part of an experiment! I realize now that-"
Then the ground started to shake, violently. "Hero must be here." Jasmine said.
"Coco, this isn't the time to argue, you need to take Hero down!"
"Then why did you tell me this now instead of waiting!"
Then, the roof caved in.
