Chapter 5

I opened my eyes and saw Oliver staring at me while smiling. “Good morning.”

“Good morning. How long have you been awake?”

“I just woke up.” He kissed my forehead. “Wanna stay in bed?”

“Yes but Justin will burn the house down if I didn't make breakfast.”

“Good point.” We stood then went to the kitchen. While I was making breakfast Oliver was hugging me from behind.

“What are you doing?”

“I just want to hug you.” Then he puts his chin on the top of my head.

“What is going on around here?” Justin saw us. “Five feet apart for Jesus.” He tried to push Oliver away but Oliver is stronger. “Hannah go get the shotgun.”

“What? Why?” Then Hannah came into view. “No and hold that pose, Justin get the hell out of there.” Hannah took a picture from her phone and suddenly started typing.

“Who did you sent it to?” Oliver asked.

“My friends and my snapchat story.”

“Okay.” Oliver replied nonchalantly then helped me setting up the table. The four of us started eating. “I’m taking Leo on a date, we'll be back around 10 PM.” Oliver told Justin.

“10 PM sharp. If you're late even for a second I won't allow you to take him on a date again.”

“Dude I'm like 18.” I told him.

“You’re still my baby brother.” I felt a hand on the top of mine and looked at Oliver.

“It’s okay.” He smiled. I looked at Hannah who took a picture when Oliver hold my hand and I looked at him.

“Can you stop with the picture?” I said irritated.

“Can you two stop being adorable?” I looked at Oliver then looked back at her. “That’s what I thought, now my friends and I are doing something.” Then she started typing again. Oliver tapped my hand then winked.

“Leo, say ah.”

“Wha-“ He suddenly put his spoon in my mouth with his food.

“Holy shit, can you do that again?” Hannah asked.

“You snooze you lose.” Oliver told her then returns to eat.

“Can you not flirt with my brother when I'm here?” Justin said with an annoyed tone.

“You're just mad because I'm dating someone and you're not.”

“I will actually murder you.”

“No one is murdering anyone unless you can hide the body perfectly but knowing you, you won't do a good job with that since your room looks like a hurricane run through it.” I told him then put my plate on the sink then left. I went to the bathroom then took a shower then brushed my teeth. When I got back into my room Oliver was there and his jaw dropped when he saw me enter with only just a towel. “Out.” I told him but he didn't move and just stared at me.

“I won't look, I'll turn around.” He snapped out from his daze and turn around. I put on some clothes, I turn around and he's still not looking. I walked to him and kissed his cheek. He turn around and hugged me.

“What time are we going out?”

“Wanna go out now so we can get back before night?”

“Sure, why not.” He grabbed my hand and saw Justin in the living room. “We’re going out. Bye.” I said then we left. “Where are we going?” We entered his car and started driving.

“We’ll go to my favorite place, it really sounds so cliché but Justin and I used to go to that place just to talk and that's how he told me about you guys.”

“Oh, so you knew me but not really?”

“Yes but I just know your name, he just told me your names and how he always do the house work every time.”

“I’m gonna kill him when we go back home.”

“You don't need to go that far.”

“How old were you two when you first met?”

“We were classmates in high school but became friends in first year of college.” He pulled over by the beach and we got out of the car. “Wait for  a few second.” He went to the trunk and he pulled out a picnic basket and a polaroid.

“You really planned this ahead, huh?”

“Anything for you.” I smiled as he replied. He took my hand and we started walking down the beach, then saw a small cave where there's a huge hole at the top and the sun shines down the water in the cave making the water sparkle and look magical. The water wasn't connected to the beach but I know there's a lake near by.

“How did you found this place?” I asked then my voice echoed in the cave and followed him.

“Be careful of the floor, it's slippery. There's a place that's dry.” He said then the echo follows through. We arrived at a smaller entrance somewhere but he sets down the blanket there and took out a sandwich and water for us. “Your brother and I found this place when we were skipping a lecture of a professor that we didn't like since she never teaches us anything and just gives us a page to read then dismissed us.” We both sat down on the blanket.

“So technically you guys aren't skipping if you were dismissed early?”

“It was a quiz day and we didn’t review.”

“Well you two are lazy.”

“Thank you.” He laughed.

“Did you two went deeper in the cave?”

“Not really, there are bats somewhere in there and we didn't want to disturb them so this the furthest we've gotten.”

“Ever swim in there?” I pointed at the body of water in the cave.

“Justin did and he said that it was cold and then got out of it. He was fine but I don't want to risk my health by jumping into an unknown water.”

“I sometimes wonder if Justin is my brother. He's really carefree.”

“He's always worried about you guys though.” He held my hand which made me looked at him. “Whenever he sees you sad he wants to cheer you up but he doesn't know how to. He said that he annoys you just to make things light between you two and wants to be close to you.” He squeezed my hand. “He told me that you and Hannah are his world and he has girls, guys and some non binaries throwing themselves to him but he doesn't want to because he wants to take care of you two.” It started making me tear up. “When he saw you working at 7 Eleven he was heart broken and cried in his room and he told me that he would get a job just to make your life easier, he landed as an assistant of a CEO which is crazy and he will be starting next week.”

I felt Oliver's fingers on my cheeks but I couldn't see well because I was crying. “I didn't know that.” I told him with a shaky voice.

“He really cares about you two.” He pulls me into a hug and I just cried. “It’s okay, you can talk with him later.”

“This is a weird date.” I tried to make a joke. “I thought we're here to get to know each other but we're here to appreciate my brother.”

“He deserves it.” I pulled away and wiped my tears. “Wanna go back or do you want to go somewhere else?”

“Let’s go to the park, I need some fresh air.” We packed up the things and he held my hand as we exit the cave.

The salty air hits my nostrils and the bright sky hurts my eyes but my eyes got adjusted, I let him go and just looked at the sea then I heard a camera click. I turn around and saw him took a picture of me from the polaroid. He took it and waited until we saw the picture. It's actually pretty cool. He puts another frame in there and pulled me close, he puts around me and took a picture of the two of us. We waited for a moment and saw the two of us smiling genuinely.

We went back to the car. He droves us to the park and we started walking around. There are some couples, some kids and their parents.

“What’s your favorite show?” He asked and looked at me as we're walking.

“That's a hard question, I don't really have a favorite show but I love American Horror Story. It's not the best but it always have a special place in my heart. What about you?”

“I don't really watch much shows but I do love Sex Education because we watched it together."

“You didn't even saw the first few episodes.”

“I actually did. When you left for school, Justin, Hannah, and I watched it then I left where we stopped watching.” He smiled. “I seen a few episodes of You but the show is just creepy.”

“I really haven't seen it, should I?”

“You choose, I'll watch whatever you're watching.” We heard screeching and when we turn around Clara was running towards us. She jumped on to me and Oliver have to support me to not hitting the floor.

“Hi Clara, did something happened?”

“I was out on a date and I saw you guys. Oh my god, Hi I'm Clara.” She lets go of me and shakes Oliver's hand.

“I’m Oliver.”

“You guys are cute.” She told us then her date caught up to her. “This is Danny, he's my date.”

“Oh hi Oliver.”

“Hi Dan.” Clara and I looked at each other then looked at our dates. “We’re friends in college, he's a really great swimmer.”

“I try, you must be Leo, Clara never stops talking about you.” He shook my hand and smiled.

“Hi, I hope those are good things.”

“I’m not a back stabber.” Clara rolled her eyes. “It was nice meeting you guys.” They held hands and then left.

“Well that was unexpected.” Oliver said.

“It really was.” We both chuckled then we continue walking until it's four. “Wanna go back?”

“Sure, I don't want Justin to burn the house down.” We started walking back to the car and saw Hannah with someone. “Who’s that with Hannah?”

“Oh shit that's her stalker.” We both bolted to Hannah who saw us.

“Oliver! Leo!” I hugged Hannah and she hugs me back.

“Is that your other boyfriend?”

“I'm his brother you bitch.” I replied then Oliver and I stand in front of Hannah while facing the other guy. “What the fuck do you want?”

“I-I'm gonna go.” Then he started running away. I took Hannah's hand on my left and Oliver's hand on my right then started walking to the car. “Why were you here alone?”

“My friend wanted to meet here but I guess Gus took her phone cause she messaged me in Instagram that her phone is missing a few days ago but I thought she found it.”

“Let's go back home.” I told her and she just nodded. We all got into the car. The car ride is quiet until we reached the house.
