First Love

Introduction

Victoria was woken by an intriguing dream. In her dream, a long-forgotten yet familiar face sprang up- somebody who she loved dearly twenty years ago called out her name from a deep and narrow cave, reaching a hand out to her. On seeing this face, Victoria's heart was stirred by a weird sense of happiness. She walked closer to the cave, but the face faded out into nowhere. Victoria's heart sank and tears started running from her eyes. She woke up and tried to recall what happened 20 years. This is what she remembered.

Twenty years ago, Victoria was 15. She was excited and getting ready for the start of a new semester. This meant new classmates, new friends, new teachers and maybe new beginnings! She grew up in a quaint town up west of London. She lived with her family of five. She was the youngest in her family. She has two older sisters, whom were a little too old for her. As a teenage girl, still finding her ways in life, Victoria, though flourished with love by her family, liked to keep things to herself.

Victoria had friends, but not many, one of whom she cherished a lot was Andrew. They had known each other since they were 8, childhood friends whom watched each other grow. As she walked into class, she found her seat naturally, right next to Andrew's, who was chatting away with this new boy.

This 'new boy' had straight and dark hair that was neatly combed. He had fair and clear skin, which Victoria was pretty jealous about. Beneath his pair of spectacles, he had a pair of hazel eyes. A pair of beautiful eyes that flashed joy and turned crescent as he spoke and smiled. He also had straight and white teeth that he showed off whenever he smiled. He seemed almost perfect.

Liam looked at her and smiled as he caught Victoria looking at him. Her face flushed red and she quickly turned away. Was she checking him out? Was she caught checking him out? She immediately turned her gaze and pretended to look for something in her bag. She felt her face heating up at this point.
