Hayden's pov.
We were in class waiting for our teacher to come in. I looked over to Hunter to see him ripping pages of his book out to make paper aeroplanes.
The door opened and I saw Daisy come in. She ran right up to me "Hey Hayden!" she smiled. I liked Daisy but she was starting to get a bit boring... But I didn't want to upset her so I played it cool.
"Hi Daisy" I said, forcing a smile. "Hannah said you don't like me and that you like her" she frowned. This was true... I did like Hannah.
"About that, Hannah's telling the truth, I don't want to hurt your feelings Daisy but lying to you would be very irresponsible, so yeah, we're done, ciao" I said getting up.
"HAYDEN HOODINGS IS SINGLE!" some girl squealed and suddenly I was being swarmed. "I hate you Hayden!" I heard Daisy yell. "Mhmm that's nice!" I yelled back.
I walked to the other side of the classroom, high fiving Hunter on my way and slid into the chair next to Hannah. "Sup babe?" I did what I like to call 'the sup nod of ultimate smoothness'.
And then the teacher walked in. Just as I kissed Hannah's cheek. Talk about badly timed...
"HAYDEN HOODINGS. I WILL NOT HAVE THAT BEHAVIOUR IN MY CLASSROOM! DETENTION!" she yelled. Great. Dads are gonna kill me.
I saw Hunter jump to his feet. "MISS THAT'S NOT FAIR, HE WAS JUST BEING NICE!" Hunter yelled. "Mate. What are you doing?!" I hissed. "Getting you out of detention he replied.
"Hunter Hoodings, would you like to join your brother in detention?" She asked. "Um, I don't know but I'm guessing the right answer is no miss?" He replied.
"Then what do you have to say for yourself?" She snapped. "Kiss my ass?" He said. The whole class was silent apart from me, I was choking on my laughter.
"EXCUSE ME?!" she yelled. "What? I saw it in a movie one time!" He laughed and I laughed hysterically with him. "DETENTION. TONIGHT. BOTH OF YOU" she screamed.
Hunter's pov.
The final bell of the day rang and Hayden and I made our way to the detention room. "Dads are gonna kill us" he sighed. "I know but that was so worth it" I laughed. We pushed the door open and stepped in.
"Ahh, the Hoodings boys, what a surprise, take a seat" Mr Crowther frowned. We sat right at the back.
I saw Hayden pull out his note pad and a pencil. I pulled out mine and wrote him a note.
Me: Hay, what are you doing?
He replied.
Hay: Writing a poem for Hannah
Me: A poem? That's so gay!
Hay: Me, a BOY, writing a poem for Hannah, a GIRL, how's that gay?
Me: Touche brother... Touche...
Hay: Leave me alone so I can concentrate on my poem.
Me: I have an idea 'Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, I couldn't stand Daisy so you'll have to do'
Hay: HUNTER.
I clapped my hand over my mouth to try and stifle my laughing.
"Something funny Hayden?" Mr Crowther asked. "You talking to me?" I asked, laughing even harder. "Yes I'm talking to you, who else would I be talking to?" He snapped. "Him?" I asked, pointing to my brother.
"And why would I be talking to him?" Mr Crowther scowled. "Maybe because he's Hayden, not me?" I laughed. "Whatever, be quiet and get on with whatever you were doing" he snapped.
At the end of the hour we were finally released. We grabbed our stuff and walked out the front door to see our dads standing there.
"Uh oh" I gulped. "You're damn right 'uh oh!' You two are in so much trouble!" Dad Calum yelled. "Naughty boys" Annie laughed.
