There's a saying, about home. I'm sure you've heard it before. 'Home is where the heart is.'
It's a popular quote, most have it on a doormat, a mug, maybe it's even a magnet on your fridge. The point is, everyone's at least heard it once before.
For Julia Price, however, she's seen it at least a hundred and half times. And every time, she's questioned herself on it.
If she doesn't have a home.. then why should she have a heart? It's a sentence she's asked herself on many occasions. But the question she should be asking, is that if she doesn't have a home.. where is her heart?

The young girl sighed as she tightened her grip on the, now, four-year-old backpack. She was only around ten years old, but she had been old enough to know that most places didn't keep her long. So far- the record was six months.
After all, no one kept an autistic kid longer than they had to.
No- she wasn't 'low-functioning' (in which she hated calling it like that)- she was extremely smart for her age. If anything- she looked normal. Just like every other kid.
Until you got to know her.
Shoving the thoughts from her head, she glanced up at the intimidating social worker who she'd been assigned to. Ever since the first accident- they wanted to make sure she was safe wherever she stayed at. So, she was stuck with Billy - the largest man she'd ever met.
No, Billy was not overweight, he was quite the opposite. He was an extremely tall african-american man, around six'five, and definitely a bodybuilder. Intimidating was an understatement.
Currently, he was sitting in the black company sedan, brows furrowed as he flipped through her packet, double-checking the address they'd parked in front of. Looking back and forth between the building- which was ever-so obviously run-down and appearing to be older than the city itself- and the papers, Billy sighed.
Seconding that expression, Julia peered through the car window and up towards the apartment building. From the top of the building, she could see the curtains had moved around in one of the windows. Her brows furrowed- it wasn't that windy, right? Looking back to the surrounding rooms, she caught the eye of a man. He looked to be an infinity and a half old.
