Abbas P. O. V
I departed Kano on a Saturday morning and arrived at Abuja, at my uncle’s house, he's my mom's elder brother who is also an Abuja base he's married with four kids, Munir, Amina, Khalid and Hamida. Munir is abroad doing his masters, Amina is at a private university in Lagos, Khalid secondary and Hamida primary school, i got to their place safely, i was shown to my room, i slept and woke up late in the afternoon, i prayed and decided to call my people.
I called my dad first, Salam alaikum sir, Wa alaikum Salam, Abbas how you doing, am fine sir, i called to inform you that am at Abuja i arrived today, okay that's good, my friend is not around at the moment but i will send you your mother -in- law's number, so you discuss when you will pay them the visit, okay sir, your mom is extending her greeting, my regards to her sir, when are you going to visit he asked, today sir this evening i replied, he said okay my regards to everyone over there, i will sir, bye sir.
I intend to call my mom but that's after the visit since she already know of my safe trip, i called, Zahra said hello who's on the line, z baby it's me, you who? are you joking, you don't recognize my voice, no i don't she said, when you decided to ignore me, since you arrived is this the best time to call me she queried, am sorry you almost gave me an heart attack i said, i heard no drop it take the other one, Zahra, am sorry what? i asked where are you, dad took us all out, we are shopping right now, okay have fun when you get home we will discuss better and am visiting her this evening, yay am so happy we will discuss later, we bade each other bye, am really famished let me get something to eat, i got out of my room to the dining room there i met Munir's mom, she was eating at the dining area, Abbas come sit i know you would be hungry, i thought you were still asleep, i just woke up i said, Talatu she called.
Naam she answered, serve him please, okay ma, while eating we discussed about everything business, my purpose of me being in Abuja, and also everyone over there, she also told me her husband travelled but will be coming back today and the kids are in school, the driver will take me to where am going once am ready.
I called my mother -in- law for location and told her i was coming this evening, she acknowledged of my visit and said they will all be expecting my visit, it's evening, i freshen up and dress up in my blue kaftan with a white cap and a nice watch, i was driven to the location i was given, i got there safely, the house is really beautiful, from the appearance you would know that they are also rich, i was being ushered in.
I met a beautiful woman who introduced herself as my mother -in-law and another lady who was my fiancée brother's wife and some kids who i can't remember their names, i was offered a drink, while discussing with everyone about business, i was shocked as i haven't seen her, is she being proud i thought, i was brought out of my thought when i heard someone greeting Salam alaikum.
Subhanallah this lady is Masha Allah even though i don't know who she is, she's wearing a peach dress and a blue veil, the dress hugged her curves in all the right places, and her feet are enclosed in the dress, she's fair in complexion let's just say her skin is flawless, her eyes were mesmerizing when we had an eye contact, my mind kept saying Abbas what are you doing, she could be someone's wife, she was introduced to me as my fiancée.
Omg finally, she's beautiful, my brain sent me a warning; Abbas what are you thinking you are to hate her remember, but i couldnt help it, i need to appreciate what am seeing, i was smiling when she finally spoke again good evening i looked around me and i noticed we are all alone in the living room.
I didnt notice because i was deep in thought, i replied good evening how are you, she said am good and you, how's your journey, i replied Alhamdulillah, a maid came in and request we moved to the dining area, food is served, she stood and said we should go so i can eat something after a long journey, i smiled and replied thanks please lead the way, she served me herself, tuwon shinkafa and miyan kuka with a chilled Kunnu aya, i asked her to join me but she refused saying am a guest and needs to be feed well, while eating she excused herself saying she needs to use the bathroom.
I was done with my meal when she came back, how is the meal she asked, i replied delicious thanks for the meal, she smiled and said you are welcome, the maid came to clear the plates, then i took the opportunity to ask her, how do you feel if i take you out tomorrow so we can discuss better, she said okay, but she has to discuss it with her mum, i told her not to bother i will tell her myself with that i stood up to leave, i said i will be taking my leave now, let me go and say farewell to your mom, please can you lead the way i said, sure this way, she took me to the living room where i met her mom and the kids.
I told them am leaving, i also asked for her permission to take Fati out, she said that won't be a problem but her sibling will be escorting her, i replied that will be great, i thanked her, and she replied you are always welcome, with that i stood up ready to take my leave, she wished me a safe trip back home, while going out i heard her mom shouting Fati ba zaki raka mijin ki ba, she was really shy, i can sense it.
She stood up and followed me outside where the driver was waiting for me, so i asked her can i have your number so i can text you the location later, i gave her my phone and she wrote her number and gave me back, she bade me, i got into the car and we drove off.
Fatima's P. O. V.
I finally get to meet him, i got back inside and can't hear the end of it, his dress sense, his height, the way he speaks, my brothers wife noticed he has dimples, yaya Salim got back late and was not happy that they didn't see each other, i got back to my room and kept imagining how tomorrow will be.
I was surprised at how he spoke freely, he's physique are what i dreamt of in a man, only that i don't know his character, i was still in my thought when i heard my phone ding, it was a message from an unknown number; Cold stone at Wuse, 10am prompt, no African time. I knew it was Abbas but why was he formal, i will get to know tomorrow.
