Cynicus is a world that runs on robotic technology and is inhabited by folkloric creatures. The world is divide in 7 provinces and each province is divided in sectors.
Jean lives in the more poorer sector of which is known to be raided the most for money, supplies and most significantly, test subjects for Apex's experiments. Apex is a branch of the government which does various experiments with technology and biology on both humans and creatures to expand their knowledge on thier biology. But nobody ever knows what exactly they are experimenting.
One day there was surprise raid by Apex's forces, and they take Jean. What is going to become of him? Will he be able to escape? Was is Apex really up to?
