The train slowed right down and finally stopped. People pushed their way towards the door and out on to a tiny, dark platform. The boys and I got off and then we heard, "First years! First years over here!" We made our way toward the sound and saw a giant man standing there yelling. Harry caught his eye and the giant grinned and waved at him. "Hi Hagrid!" Harry yelled at the giant. So, I guess the giant's name is Hagrid and that they know each other. Hagrid then said, "C'mon, follow me ---- anymore first years? Mind your step, now!" He had us get into boats. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and chubby boy with brown hair got into a boat. I turn to see if there were any empty spots open; I totally did not want to be alone or left behind. I saw a boat that only had a boy with bleach blonde hair, a girl with black hair, and another boy with brown hair and dark skin. I walked towards them and asked, "Can I get into the boat with you guys? I do not see other spots open." The girl looked at me and said, "Sure why not." I got into the boat and then the boats started to move. The girl then said, "My name is Pansy Parkinson." The boy with blonde hair then said, "The names Draco Malfoy." Then the boy with dark skin and brown hair said, "My name is Blaise Zabini." I smiled at them and said, "My name is Rose." Then Draco asked, "What is your last name, Rose?" I looked at him with a sad face and said, "Sorry, I do not know my last name. I grew up in at orphanage." Then he said with a disgusted face, "So I guess you are a mudblood." I look at him with a confused face and asked, "What do you mean?" Pansy then replied, "Mudblood means muggleborn." I still had a confusion written all over my face. She continued, "A child born from non-magical folks." I nodded my head and said, "Umm...I have no idea who my parents are." Blaise then asked, "So, you have no idea who your parents are, and you do not know you last name?" I nodded my head and said, "That is correct." Pansy then said, "That is very weird and sad at the as time." Then all around us people started to awe so I looked up to see a beautiful castle. Then the boat stopped, and we got out. Then all of the us went up some stairs and gather other a door. Hagrid raised his fist and knocked three times on the door. The door opened and a tall, black-haired witch in emerald-green robes stood there. She looked strict and serious, but also caring and understanding in a way. "The first years, Professor McGonagall," said Hagrid.
She pulled the door wide open and led us to the entrance hall. "Welcome to Hogwarts," said Professor McGonagall. "The star-of-term banquet will begin shortly, bit before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses. The storing is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house, will be something like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in you house dormitory and spend free time in your house common room. The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history, and each has produced outstanding witched and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn you house points, while any rule-breaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points will be awarded the House Cup, a great honor. I hope each of you will be credit to whichever house becomes yours. The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. I suggest you smarten yourselves up as much as you can while you are waiting." Professor McGonagall left the chamber. While everyone was fussing and trying to figure out what the sorting entailed, I felt a pull deep inside of me. I was awed by the magnificence of the of the inside of the castle, paintings moved, and ghost talked like they were normal human beings, or should I say wizards? I feel like Hogwarts is my home; I mean who does what a castle as a home. "It's true then, what they were saying on the train. Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts," Draco's voice echoed through the crowd of first years. "This is Crabbe, and Goyle. And I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy." He said, then Ron laughed. I knew something was about to go down it is like I have a sixth sense. "Think it's funny, do you? No need to ask your name. Red hair, hand-me-down robes. You must be a Weasley! We'll soon find out that some wizarding families are better than others, Potter." Draco continued. "You don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort." Draco said with a disgusted face as he looked at Ron. "I can help you there," he said out stretching his hand. Harry acknowledged his hand with a bemused expression. "I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks." I would probably have taken Draco's hand because Ron gives me the wrong vibe. Draco looked at Harry with a cold emotionless stare like he just put a mask on. Footsteps echoed behind Draco before he could do anything.
