Chapter 10

I smie awkwardly and go to tell him not to move too fast when Avia pulls me by the arm. I turn and face her.

"What?" I ask completely confused by her worried face.

"Sarah's here" she whispers. My tummy instantly drops and I instantly start scanning the room with my eyes.

"Who are you looking for Grace?" Joe asks, pulling me backwards to him. Shit Sarah can't see us together or she'll loose her shit - I can't be next to Joe right now.

"Joe let me go" I shout over the music, but a little too loudly without intention. His face drops.

"Fine" he says as he walks past me, off to the bar.

I turn back to Avia and she shakes her head.

"You'll make up with him later. Come on." she says as she drags me away from the dancefloor back towards our VIP booth where there will be no crazy ex girlfriends.

Just as I approach the stairs to go to our booth, Sarah and a few girls stand in front of me and Avia blocking our entrance. I plaster on a fake smile.

"Well if it isn't Grace" she says with a snarky smile.

"What do you want Sarah" I ask, my face dropping into a frown.

"Oh you know, to catch up" she says as she lifts a hand and looks at her nails.

"I don't wanna talk so just leave me alone alright?" I ask, going to walk past her but one of her friends shoves my shoulder backwards.

"Let's just have a little chat about Joe shall we?" she says menacingly.

"Rather not" I snort.

Her face turns sour. "Listen here you little slut. You've slept with Caspar and now you've moved onto Joe. You leave him the fuck alone he's mine."

Me and Avia burst out laughing, Sarah clearly don't know that my dad taught me how to fight. "I took you down in his apartment and trust me this time it won't be as...nice". I say with a smirk.

She goes to grab my hair but I grab her arm and twist it to the point where it won't break her arm but it will leave her in pain. Before she can scream I push her to the floor and press my knee into her shoulder blades to keep her on the floor.

"Avia. Go get someone on the door to come get her" I say, turning my head but keeping all my pressure on Sarah. She nods and scurries off.

I turn back to Sarah's friends. "If you don't want to get kicked out too, piss off".

They quickly scurry off. Pfft some friends. Avia hurries back over with a tall man with dark hair and a stern gaze.

"What's going on" he says in a deep, booming voice.

"She verbally abused my friend and then tried to attack her" Avia said.

The man nodded and I get up off Sarah. "We've had a lot of trouble off of you for a few weeks now. You've had enough warnings now your barred" he says to Sarah.

Her face turns red in anger and as I go to turn away to find Joe, something attacks me from the back and I fly forward and whack my head off something hard. I hear madness and loud talking around me and everything goes black.

I open my eyes with a pounding headache and instantly go to touch my forehead. I wince, shit that hurts! I open my eyes and go to sit up, holding my head.

"Shit your awake!" A piercing voice goes straight to my head.

"Avia please don't speak so loud. My head hurts". I say as I move my head to see the room. I'm sitting on a black, leather sofa in a dark room with a bunch of TV screens in the corner, a chair in front of them with Avia sitting on it.
