"Winger! Quickly! Do it now!" Summer Yelled. Winger shot a powerblast and hit the target right in the center.

"Aw Yeah, bullseye!" He cheered. Summer laughed.

"Thanks for helping me train, Summer." Winger said.

"No problem! Happy to help!" Summer replied, smiling.

She's had a crush on Winger for a while now, and any chance she got to spend time with him, she took it. And now they were here, laughing and training together. It was the perfect moment, that is, until Cutter came along.

"Hey lovebirds! Lunch is ready!" He called. Winger blushed wildly, Summer seeming to do the same.

"We're not in love!" He stammered, voice rising.

"Hah! Yeah right. And I don't have large spikes on my head!" Cutter taunted. Laughing, he went back inside the Roost. Then, sticking his head back out of the door, he said,

"By the way Summer, I heard what you said." Fear filled Summer's face as she knew what he was talking about.

She had been behind the Roost, practicing what she would say to Winger when they were training. She had wondered if today should be the day she confessed her love for him. Had Cutter been listening the whole time?

"Summer? Do you know what he means?" Winger asked the fastfin.

"No way!" She lied, shaking her head.

"Hehe. Winger, she was saying that-" Cutter started, but Leyla cut him off.

"Come on everyone! Lunch is ready!" She said, not knowing Cutter has already told the two training dragons.

Silently thanking her best friend, Summer strolled into the Roost, leaving a puzzled Winger behind her. As she was eating, Cutter came up beside her. Oh boy. She thought. Not again. Cutter smirked as Winger entered the Roost.

"Silver snapper!" He cheered as he bounded toward the fish.

"Hah! You love that fish, don't you?" Cutter asked. Winger nodded.

"Just like how Summer loves you!" Winger stopped eating mid-chew. Cutter started giggling as Summer panicked.

"Yeah it's true! I heard her say it today! She was practicing how to confess that undying feeling of love." He said dramatically. Summer stuck her entire head into a barrel of fish as Cutter's giggle turned into a full on laugh.

"Is.... is that true, Summer?" Winger asked. All he got back was moaning noises coming from the barrel.

"Summer?" Winger chuckled a bit. She pulled her head back out.

"Yes." She said with a monotone voice, glaring at Cutter. He smiled nervously and slid out of the room, leaving Summer and Winger alone.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier? I would have loved to hear that before we trained. Might have given me some extra energy!" Winger stated. Summer looked up, confused.

"You... like me the same?" She asked.

"Of course not! I don't like you! I love you!" The swiftwing pranced up to Summer.

"Really?" She asked, grinning hopefully.

"Yup." Winger said before kissing Summer on the cheek.

"You missed." She said.

"What?" Winger was confused until Summer pressed her lips against his. His face heating up, Winger kissed back, grateful that Cutter had been in a teasing mood.

"You done yet?" A voice asked. Summer and Winger jumped apart, whipping around to see Dak standing in the doorway, smirking.

"Dak! How, uh, how long have you been there?" Winger stuttered. Dak let out a laugh.

"Long enough!" He said. The two dragons blushed as Dak moved his fingers across his mouth in a zipping motion.

"Don't worry! My lips are sealed!" He said.

"Thanks Dak." Winger replied. Dak saluted and walked out the door. I turned to Summer, smiling.

"Ready for another round of training?" I asked. She nodded.

"I was born ready!"
