The Worst Night

LAUREN'S POV

"What was I thinking letting my own daughters turn into humans,they will be shunned and I love them to much!" my Dad shouted more to himself than us. Skylar looked helplessly around trying to make the best of this situation. "She was not meant to be I can tell but you must stop. Skylar is shy but Lauren will protect her and they will save the Shape Shifters and we will be safe and then you can be mad if you want but you need to calm down." my Mom said. I snuck a glance at Skylar to see that she wasn't there. "Look what you made Skylar do. Stop fighting! " I glared at my Dad and Mom, my tone sharp.

" Skylar." I called quietly, reaching out to look for her. She was crouching by the window. She had taken the normal form of a Shape Shifter when they get scared, really scared. It was just a clear area where she was so no one could see her but me. I had this special sense that could allow me to locate other Shape Shifters, no one else had it.

The next night was when my dad was to change us to humans we were allowed to take one thing to the human world so I snatched up my bracelet of shapes and went to the clearing in the woods. Skylar was waiting there by the big fir tree and was in the shape of a wolf. Kylia ( Ki- lee- a) , the Elder of the Trees picked up the branch of Love and Bravery and placed it over Skylar. A flash of light emerged from her figure and the wind stopped. Skylar was standing as a beautiful, if you could call a human beautiful, 16 year old girl. Her pearly white teeth shone beneath her full red lips. Her long blonde hair had natural highlights and tumbled down to her waist. She was a tall,thin figure and had sparkling blue eyes with a hint of grey tucked beneath her bangs. "Lauren." Kylia softly said. " Come." I walked to the tree and prepared to change.

Kylia placed the branch over me and I felt my insides changing. " Wow" breathed Skylar. " You look beautiful." I straightened up and looked at myself in the mirror that hung on the tree. I had blonde hair that flowed past my shoulders and waved slightly. It's natural brown highlights brought out my deep hazel eyes that complimented my perfect face and full lips with angel teeth. My tall skinny body was tall and my features delicate and immense. "Kylia did a great job, on us both." I thought.

We were led off to the edge of the Shape Shifter territory and slowly said goodbye to our family and set off into the human town of Spring Wells.
