Unexpected Meeting

SKYLAR'S POV

Lauren and I walked slowly past the border and looked at our surroundings. The town was quiet and the street lights flickered, casting shadows around the street. No cars rumbled by. We crossed the deserted town and arrived at a hotel. The hotel was dreary and cold but Lauren and I still stayed as we had nowhere to go. We went to our room on the 2nd floor and after crawling into our beds we fell asleep.

The next day we checked out of the hotel and headed to a local coffee joint. We had never heard of coffee, since anything human related was banned except on some days, so we ordered a small cup and drank it greedily. It was strong and I disliked it so much but it was warm and I was freezing. Lauren decided that we should search for our boyfriends that we would be forced to make in order to save the Shape Shifters race. We wondered what they would be like. I hoped for tall, smart, athletic, brunette, while as Lauren hoped for a blond werewolf that loved to be outdoors. We were suppose to see a sign on who should be our boyfriend.

We left and headed out to the street. Walking down the street, the bitter cold wind blew hard and we tried to bundle up the best we could in our small jackets. A young boy was selling newspapers on the curb while some teenage girls stepped into a tea shop. Humans."Sorry." I heard a different voice as I heard a thunk next to me. " It's fine." Lauren said as the blond boy helped her up. " I'm Kyle and this is my best friend, Jason." Kyle gestured to the boy standing next to him. " I'm Lauren and this is my sister, Skylar." Lauren answered politely. I glanced at Jason. He was a tall athletic boy with deep green eyes and dark brown hair. " Lauren, I think these boys are meant to be our boyfriends." I muttered softly. " We are looking for two girls that we have to help save some Shape Shifter race." Jason explained.

"That's us." Lauren said astonished. " Well we are werewolfs and we are here to help you." Kyle concluded. "Let's go." Jason suggested and we all took that request and headed towards Jason's sisters house where they would be staying with us until we could save both of our races.
