they're not sure when it began.

in the beginning of their time spent together as a group, they weren't this close. and now, somehow, they're finding intimacy in each other more than they're used to.

maybe it started when namjoon saw taehyung's dick and decided that he wasn't going to shy away from it. or maybe when seokjin joked that they should all watch porn together, and somehow both he and hoseok ended up on the couch with throbbing erections. maybe, quite possibly, it started with jimin's interest in written erotica, and yoongi catching him and jungkook together, coming on the pages.

from yoongi's perspective, he's desperate. it's not like he doesn't appreciate the space. he appreciates it more than anything, that they'd care about his feelings first before anything else. but he wishes he were better at communicating his own feelings, so they wouldn't have to assume.

he's sitting alone on the couch, on his phone with his legs pulled up to his chest like he's creating a protective cocoon that nobody is allowed to penetrate. he kind of hates it, the way he feels like he's always closed off. he tries not to be, but it's hard. it's hard to let yourself be completely vulnerable with so many people who seem intimately comfortable with each other, but not with you.

maybe he isn't good enough. maybe that's why they don't ask him. maybe they don't think he's intimacy material. like being close to him is a chore.

he watches namjoon pass by seokjin, and without thinking, press a kiss to the corner of his mouth. yoongi scowls, mostly at himself.

a week goes by, and the more time that passes, the more closed off yoongi seems to become. the more he feels like everyone is getting closer and he's getting further away. he spends less time around them, more time at the studio or just alone in his room. they send him concerned looks, here and there. silent questions asking if he's okay, or if he needs to talk. but he's sure it's out of pity. they don't really want to talk to him.

yoongi's buried under the covers of his bed when he hears someone knock on the door, and he grunts. probably someone asking him to do the dishes. make sure he's contributing to being an equal roommate.

"i'm coming in," a voice says, and the door swings open. yoongi makes a huffing noise as he throws the covers from his face and sits up, hair haphazard. it's seokjin, who doesn't ask before sitting down at the end of yoongi's bed.
