A figure clad in black, reached for her. It was Matt. He grinned, "Your lover." He whispered. Matt changed into Muffin. The cat turned towards her and opened his mouth, " Whether you like it or not." He hissed.

Taya recoiled in horror. Muffin turned into the demon. It came towards her, its tongue hanging out, pieces of its body falling on her. She was buried beneath it all. She screamed . She heard a disembodied voice, "Taya! Taya! Wake up!"

Taya got up, slapping the person in front of her. Matt held her hands, "Whoa, its just me! Ow!" He exclaimed. Taya sighed in relief.

"Nightmare?"

She nodded. He rubbed his cheek gingerly. Taya only felt a slight twinge of guilt, who asked him to stand in front of her?

She got up and pushed Matt back gently onto the bed, "Who told you to get up? You are supposed to be resting." He made a face at her but obliged.

"How are you?" She asked, straightening the covers.

"Other than the fact that my back feels like it had been rubbed against cheese grater, I feel excellent." He grimaced.

Matt looked at Taya and wondered why she looked so embarrassed. She didn't hurt him, the demon did. She put a strand of her hair behind her ear. "Maybe I dragged you across the street to the car." She mumbled.

Matt looked up at her in surprise, "You did what? Really Taya, has nobody told you that it isn't a good idea to drag an unconscious body across the street just so that you could see him half naked while you cleaned his wounds?" He joked, trying to put her at ease. Instead, she turned a darker shade of red. She muttered something about Daphne and dashed out of the room.

Matt chuckled. She was like the sea, she kept changing. Sometimes she acted bad ass and the other times she was like a bunny. He would never figure her out. She was beautiful though. The thought kept entering his mind and made him feel uneasy each time.

Taya came back towing Daphne behind her. Daphne smiled at him sweetly. She was pretty too, but in a different way. She was far too teacher-like for him to be interested.

She walked towards him and placed a hand on his forehead. She was wearing a silk top with a plunging neckline. Matt looked away but she was way too close. He tried to not let his cheeks burn, but she noticed and she gave him a coy smile. She sat beside him, her shorts rucking up her thighs. She shifted closer to him. Matt's eyes widened, What was she trying to do?

Taya almost laughed at the non-verbal interaction they were having. Daphne was clearly trying to flirt with him, and he had no idea that Daphne was sweet on him.

She clapped her hands together, "Okay, you guys. What do we do next?" Daphne looked slightly flustered as she looked towards her.

"He is fine now. You can take him back. But he can't do strenuous exercises that involves the back. He should rest and get him some ice cream." She laughed.

Matt tried to look composed but the way Daphne had behaved earlier had left him confused.

They decided to leave the next morning because night had already fallen. They booked the tickets this time and Matt went back to sleep. Taya needed a shower so she had left Matt in the care of Daphne.  Matt lied on the bed, not feeling very sleepy. He was hungry. He sat up and at that precise moment Daphne entered with a tray. She smiled at him shyly.

"Here." She said, placing the tray on his lap. His mouth watered when he saw the food - sandwich, salad, fruit slices and cup of hot chocolate.

"Mmm." He groaned, his stomach grumbling at the sight of food.
