Running alongside Bright and Tine was just part of my new routine now. It had taken me quite some time to get used to the in and out of what the confidently attractive man had called, his pack. Yeah, I learned that Werewolves were freaking supposed to be leaving more or less together, belonging to a group, taking care of each others, fighting as one, living as one and most of all helping one's neighbors out. I'm still not comfortable with so many wolves to tell the truth. I would much prefer to go back to my simple hermite like life in my lonely house. But something is keeping me to do just that.

I glanced to the light grey wolf on my right, advancing peacefully at my side while Bright was jumping around crazily like the young pup he was. I didn't like to mingle with the pack's people, my anger at the ones who had turned my life upside down still running in my blood even though it had been some times now. The only one I could bear to be with was Tine. Only Tine. He was making me so calm, so comfortable. He didn't mind the fact that I didn't like to talk much nor the fact that I was grumpy half of the time. He just smiled sweetly, talking as if there was nothing wrong in the world.

« Wanna race to the pack house ? » he asked me through our mind link « We need to go see the elders. »

I grumphed not willing to go. I hated to go to that house. I attracted too much attention when I was in the center of their village. The light grey wolf with silver eyes smiled lopsidedly and licked my nose encouragingly. I rubbed our shoulders together, trying to wordlessly convince him not to go. A quick bit on my ear was all I got as he started to run off ahead of me, followed by the more than happy to run pup. leaving him a bit of an advance, I started afterward, confident that I could get to him way before he could attain the pack house.

When we arrived to the destination, I saw his eyes go blank, meaning that he was talking to his pack. He could talk to anyone in their pack. Weirdly enough, he was the only one I could talk and listen to, which was the reason him and Bright could hear me so clearly before.. I got a run down on how to control that at will thankfully. Nothing weirder than having one's thought out in the open. Sitting on my back legs, I waited patiently for someone to get us in and give us clothes before meeting the elders.

I tensed up as we came into the council room where the Alphas from the past where gathered. The way they were looking at me was irking me. I didn't like their way to scrutinize me and all my damn moves. Sensing my discomfort, Bright came and glued himself to my leg, rubbing himself on me as if to claim I was his. Not letting on on anything, I just slided my hand on the black and white fur on his back, his tails swinging in contempt.

Tine had explained to me that Alpha were the most powerful wolves among a pack, Beta, Gamma and Omega were in order the other ranked wolves. Anyone else was just a common wolf, comprising most of the pack. I didn't really care for such details, but the brown haired man insisted that I knew of it and it kinda stuck to my memory.

« Tine. » called one of the old foxes to my handsome guide « How is it going ? Is Sarawat settling in ? »

« I am not fucking deaf. » I growled in my chin, irritated with their rude attitude in my face.

Tine's hand on my arm, prevented me of saying more. His tender smile and gentle eyes, making me sigh and I looked away as he turned back to the elders.

« He is still getting accustomed to our lives. Sarawat is a magnificent wolf and we are lucky to have him here. » He answered to them, making me want to blush from the compliment « I have yet to tell him about our situation, but I hope he will agree to stay with us. Please give us more time elders. »

I was stunned at his words. What the heck did he mean. My heart tightened at the mention of staying here for good, even though my inner wolf didn't seems to mind. I didn't like it. And at the same time, when I thought of going away, not seeing the gentle and innocent man again, me and my wolf clearly were on the same page. That was out of the question. Sighing and not paying attention to the rest of their talk, I knew I had to have a good talk with Tine tonight and take some decisions. This wasn't going to be easy.
