Just a glimpse
But it isn't enough.
You look back
And find that hard to move again.

You taste sweetness
But it turns sour.
Everything seems fleeting,
A moment and it's gone.

You are hoping it will be different,
Somehow to make it this time.
Is it courage that has forced you,
Or the desire to prove them all wrong?

You feed your hatred with fire,
Love couldn't burn it out.
Forgetting seems impossible,
You let the demons of the past rule.

Where will anger take you?
You can't simply move on,
Can't be at ease with your success!
Believe me, hatred is a heavy baggage to carry on.

Will you be appeased to hurt them?
Will you be happy seeing them suffer your cruelty?
Will you be laughing at them while kneeling at your feet?
Or will you realize that you are becoming a monster like them?

Open your eyes, most importantly your heart.
The mind may not easily forget,
But the heart will soften when you forgive.
Let go of your pain!
