July 1, 2007

T'was last July when it all started,
When rain watered my roses
Promising a rainbow garden ahead
As love had bloomed so dearly.

T'was last July when it started,
One Friday evening of the seventh day
Beeping my cellphone before midnight
You said, "Soon, I'm leaving for Dubai."

"Why it's painful?
What are these tears for?"
I asked myself silently but it was even more confusing when you asked:
"Will you miss me? I'm gonna miss you so bad."

Stunned! An overstatement!
God knew how it tickled to my bones.
Then, you simply blurted out, "I'm falling for you."
Oh heck! I cried even more!

T'was last July when I first saw you,
Blue jeans, white t-shirt, and black trench coat
Looking ruggedly gorgeous at one o'clock of that rainy afternoon
On the twelfth of July, year of the dogs.

But t'was last July when heartaches arrived,
Confused and battling with my heart.
I wouldn't be able to fit your world,
Darkest was your past - you and I wouldn't gamble!

T'was last July when I said, "I'll forget you,
Cry no more!"
I would be okay then,
I would think of you no more!

But here comes July,
A year is over and I still cry.
I lose again,
I'm still into you, my 'dumbledore'...
