Sakura placed a pot of water on the stove and started cutting some tomatoes. Her uniform lie hanging from the wall right beside the table fan so it would dry quickly.
She took out two bowls, one large and one small and placed them on the table. A momentary scream of disappointment filled the room followed by some vintage beeps.
"Kero! Keep the noise down! Or i'll be kicked out from this apartment!" She shouted.
"Sorry!" He shouted back from the bedroom.
She slid the noodles into the boiling water and increased the flame of the stove.
"Such a prude! Still trying to take away my cards!" She huffed as she rubbed the sweat on her forehead with her arm.
She reached for the cold water from the fridge, poured it in a glass and sipped it in relief. As she looked at the dancing lights on the water rim, she thought about the weekend visit to Yukito and how she took back her cards. She started reminiscing the long walk she took back to her apartment that evening.

"Sakura... Why did you break up with that brat? Not that he was great or anything..." Kero asked innocently peeking up from the handbag she was carrying.
