V.

Day 5

      Taehyun is walking mindlessly in the road as the past events keeps running through his mind.

       He can't forget how the latter he wanted to be friend with is the actual killer. How's Huening Kai? He even ring their door bell but no one came. He texted Huening Kai to go to school so that they can talk about it with Beomgyu. He's sure, Beomgyu will listen to Taehyun.

He reaches the school and took a deep sighed. "Taehyun?" He look behind him and saw a tall handsome bunny look like. It's Soobin, a senior. He's major in music too. "Soobin-hyung!." Taehyun smiled widely, waving to the older male.

"Did you miss me? Haha, I'm sorry we can't hang out like we used to be, I am busy you know. Where is Kai?." Soobin smiled, looking for the youngest child but Taehyun just shake his head. He can't tell Soobin what happened or else...

"Is something bothering you? You look pale— By the way are you alright?." Soobin asked worriedly, touching Taehyun's cheeks as he looks at the younger. "I am fine hyung, I was just stressed. That's all." He smiles.

The two of them walked inside the hall, as soon as they reached the locker, Soobin have to bid good-bye because he's extremely extra busy today.

"Hyun." Taehyun frozed at fixing his locker for the first class. He look behind him and saw Beomgyu with a serious look on his face. The girls were looking at Beomgyu.

"Oh my gosh, is he the transfer student? He's so handsome."

"That guy literally killed me the second he took a footstep here."

"Choi Beomgyu of art major? I heard he's good at drawing?."

"What is he doing with Taehyun? Oh my god are they dating?."

"We're not dating!." Taehyun shouted when he heard those words as he can't help but to blush, he's not good at taking a romance topic as it always flustered him, Beomgyu can't help but to smile but of course he won't make it visible.

"Let's talk at lunch, in roof top." Beomgyu said and give something to Taehyun, it's an almond milk, before heading back to the Art Major building.

Why would he even care anyway?

He eyed the almond milk in his hand then suddenly, someone grab his other arm and pulled him out in the crowd.

There he saw his best friend pulling him. "Huening kai!." He said with tears and Huening Kai hugs him tightly. "I've been calling you for a million times oh my goodness!."

"I'm sorry about that Taehyun." He smiled sadly. "I'm sorry for dragging you in this mess... Thank you for saving us." He look down. He knew his friend, Huening Kai probably blaming himself all night thinking that Taehyun would be safe if he hadn't texted the latter.

"Huening-ah, you know that I would love to help my best friend right? You're helping me in a lot of things you know." Taehyun smiled sweetly. Huening Kai smiled back. "Do you wanted to know the story? I was shock when my sister told me about everything."

"Story?"

"Did you know the incident happened with 5 years ago?." Huening Kai asked, Taehyun had knew it, because a kid from rich company got kidnapped and the police keep searching, day and night for the heir. His mom wouldn't let him go outside back then.

Huening Kai quickly pulled Taehyun to the rooftop so they could talk there. "Hyuka, we have classes."

"I don't mind skipping one of our subject or the rest of our subject Taehyunnie, my mind isn't functioning well you know." Huening Kai releases a deep sighed.

They sat on the floor as they look up in the sky. There... Huening Kai tells the story. In Lea's behalf.

They are in the court, their father is a lawyer and Beomgyu's father is the prosecutor. They have leads on where Beomgyu is. But then, the lawyer is protecting the guy who might kill his son.

Lea is watching there, with Huening Kai who mindlessly just playing a game in mute, of course, a kid wouldn't care in this kind of situation. Huening Kai just wanted to go outside and play with Taehyun already.

"Mr. Jung, you said that the suspect is innocent but we saw this CCTV and a pair of shoes in his appartment." Mr. Choi put the pair of shoes in the middle so everyone could see it. "This shoes came from Choi Beomgyu, my son." He confirmed.

"Now, suspect. Where did you hide my son?."

"Objection your honor. The question is too suspicious as if he's already saying that the suspect confirms everything."

"That question is invalid." The judge said. So Mr. Choi had to change the question. "Why do you have this shoes?."

"I-I... I was strolling around the area and I saw that shoes, I have niece who loves shoes so much. I saw that shoes is good as new, we don't have money to buy for anything so I took it."

"Two good pair of shoes? That's doubtful."

"Y-You didn't know anything! I was telling the truth!!!." The suspect stands up and shouted at prosecutor. "You didn't know how I can't sleep with your stupid son! You fucking careless father! I had to shut him up you know?! I thought kidnapping him would be worth of time but I have to sell him far away! I make money because of your son!" The suspect confessed and as of cue he held a gun and shoot his own head.

Huening Kai erases that memory of that day.

Mr. Choi stood there like a stone.

And Choi Beomgyu's case remained unsolve.

"I didn't know but I have vague memories of that scene." Huening Kai said and look at Taehyun who just listened. "So you're saying that Beomgyu wanted to take a revenge."

"I don't know, you know that prosecutor Choi that time got suspended and electrocuted because of what happened to the victim. He also illegally take all of those evidence." Huening Kai explained.

Taehyun look down. "So Beomgyu's been like this because of what happened..."

"We don't know... He got sell what if someone's manipulating him?." Huening Kai asked.

"No one's manipulating me."
