Y'all don't have to read this chapter if y'all don't want to but I think y'all should read it that way you won't be confused you know just to understand the story better. So warning.... Their are different characters in this book everybody that plays on Empire is NOT in this book except for Cookie & Lucious but anyways here's some things about the characters.
Cookie is a 24 year old woman, very smart, and talented, went to college, got her degree and became a nurse. She plans to stay single for the rest of her life because every relationship she has gotten into she always gets the bad end of the stick. She always gets cheated on and lied to. So now she just do want trust men anymore. She has her two best friends Olivia, she has known Olivia every since the 8th grade and Elizabeth, she has known Elizabeth every since the 2nd grade. Her two best friends Olivia and Elizabeth are trying to get her to see that every man is not the same but Cookie isn't having it. She met this dude at Burger King but she doesn't want to date because of trust issues. She thought about what her best friends told her and she is going to try and get to know him so will this turn out into a relationship ? Will it end well for her ? Keep reading to find out. 😉
Lucious is a 26 year old man who went to college, got his degree and also became an engineer. And every relationship didn't turn out too well for him either. Every woman he has ever been with always played with his emotions and made him believe that they loved him when in reality they didn't want anything but his money and once they got the money they was gone. In his head he didn't want to get in anymore relationships either until 3 years ago he met his baby mama Rosa, Rosa was a good woman. She cooked, cleaned, had a wonderful personality, and she was loyal but their relationship ended cause she wasn't over her ex boyfriend. She was the first woman that didn't play with Lucious emotions she actually thought she was over her ex but come to find out she wasn't and she was honest with him about it. Once they broke up she ended up pregnant and they took a DNA test and it was Lucious son. So now him and Rosa co parent and they get along pretty well. His main focus is on being a good role model to his son and to find love. He also is funny and he is a songwriter and can sing but he never put it out there cause he felt like it wasn't that serious and Cookie actually knows a lot about music so is Cookie the one for him ? Elizabeth is a 25 year old woman who graduated and became a journalist. She has her two best friends Olivia and Cookie. Her real parents didn't care about her. They always abused her, forced her to eat food that she didn't want, bullied her saying she's ugly and will never be anything etc. Until one day she got tired of all of it and she went to school and finally spoke out at the age of 11. They put her up for adaptation and luckily she found a family that loves and cares for her. But their was just one thing missing.... and that is to get married and have kids. She is spoiled and when she was a child her parents got her mostly everything she wanted, but they didn't play about her schoolwork and grades. They would push her and encourage her to make good grades so when it came down to school they were strict parents and Olivia hated that. Now that she is older she thank them for being strict cause 9x out of 10 if they weren't she would be a nobody. She went to college and got her degree and made something out of herself. She is a dentist and making good money. She loves and thanks her parents for being so strict cause when it comes down to school she was one of those kids with that "forget school" mindset. She loves her parents so much she doesn't know what she would do without them. Now that she is successful she wants a family. So she's looking for love right now but her relationships don't work cause she's too spoiled and is a crybaby. Like you can do one little thing to her and she would cry and most men find it annoying so will she find somebody that can put up with her being emotional ? Martha (Lucious mother) is a 56 year old woman who graduated and became a lawyer and retired. She met Raphael ( Lucious father ) when she was 17. Every since then they've been in a relationship and got married and also had 3 kids together. Their was a time when she cheated and that was only once and that was because she got drunk and really didn't know what she was doing but like always they got back together and he claimed he forgave her but sometimes she feels like he haven't forgave her. Raphael (Lucious father) is a 57 year old man who is part of the military but he retired and is enjoying life with his wife and kids. Even though he is not really happy with his oldest son Shawn because he's not being a man. Every time he sees that Shawn is doing something wrong he feels guilty, hurt and confused. He feels guilty because even though he taught all of his sons how to be a man what if he was teaching Shawn the wrong way ? He feels hurt because he knows that he didn't raise his son this way, and to see his son doing that kind of stuff and thinks it's cool just breaks his heart. And he feels confused because if Shawn didn't learn it from him or his mother then who did he learn it from ? Was he born like that ? Or was his "friends" bad influencers but they just didn't know ? Shawn (Lucious oldest brother) is a 28 year old man he dropped out of school in the 10th grade and is still til this day living with his parents. His parents fuss at him about getting girls pregnant and that he needs to get his own place and get a job and become a man and take care of his kids but he didn't see anything wrong with it. In his mind it's nothing wrong with being a player and getting girls pregnant he had 8 kids that he didn't take care of cause he doesn't have the money but he spends time with them so shouldn't that be enough ? Deep down inside he wanted to move out his parents house that way he won't have to hear their mouths but he knows the only way he can do that is if he get a job and come up with enough money to buy him an apartment or something and getting a job is a no for him and I mean a big NO for him. Mia (Lucious baby sister) is a 20 year old single mother who has been through a lot. She got raped by her uncle at the age of 12 (almost 13) and gave birth at the age of 13 to her beautiful baby boy Jamari. Jamari is now 7 years old. He still asks about his father sometimes and it just breaks her heart that he doesn't have a father in his life. Every child needs a father especially a BOY. It was only so much she could teach him. She couldn't teach him everything cause she wasn't a man. She needed help raising her son, and don't get me wrong her 2nd oldest brother Lucious and her parents gives her money sometimes to help out with Jamari or sometimes they'll babysit and she thanks them so much for that..... But it just wasn't enough she felt like he needed to spend more time with his grandaddy and uncle cause they was perfect role models but she just hasn't asked them cause she feels embarrassed to ask somebody to help raise a child that her daddy and brother didn't make. So will it come down to a point where she will finally tell Jamari about his father ? Will she finally open up and tell her brother and daddy that she needs help raising Jamari ?
