The next day: Cookie was getting dressed and doing her makeup and then her phone started ringing and it was Olivia and Elizabeth (because they had her on three way)
Cookie, Elizabeth & Olivia conversation:

Cookie: hello
Olivia and Elizabeth: hey girl wyd
Cookie inner thoughts: well damn
Cookie: good wassup with y'all ?
*Elizabeth chuckles*
Elizabeth: girl we just checking on our best friend what's wrong with that ?
Cookie: nothings wrong with it
Elizabeth: ok then
Olivia: aye y'all wanna hang out today ?
Elizabeth: yeah I'm free
Olivia: wbu (what about you) Cookie ?
Cookie: um um she says not really knowing what to say
*Olivia laughs*
Olivia: girl um what ?
Cookie: I'm kind of in a situation right now
Elizabeth: wym what kind of situation ?
Cookie: remember the dude we met at Burger King ?
Olivia: yeah what about him ?
Cookie:well I called him last night and luckily he was still up so we talked and talked and we stayed on the phone for like an hour and he asked me on a date and I said yes
Elizabeth: ouu you go girl
Cookie: shut up
Olivia: well I'm happy for you bsf and let's hope this one is the right one for you
Elizabeth: yeah let's hope
Cookie: I hope so too but it's 2:30 and we suppose to be meeting at 3:00 so I don't want to be late
Elizabeth: okay then Mrs. girlfriend
Cookie: we ain't even dating yet matter of fact this ain't even a real date we just doing this to get to know each other
Olivia: then what are y'all then ?
Cookie: associates I guess idk (I don't know)
*Olivia laughs*
Olivia: seems like more than associates to me
*Cookie slightly chuckles*
Cookie: y'all so stupid bye I gotta go love you
*She hangs up the phone*

Cookie and Lucious finally meet at Golden Corral and it is 3:01 so they are one minute late. cookie gets out the car and Lucious walks over to her

Lucious: you look amazing
*Cookie blushes*
Cookie: thanks and same to you
*They hold hands and walks towards the restaurant*
Cookie inner thoughts: Lord why did I just blush in front of this man

They finally ordered their food and sat down ate the table and ate
Lucious: so tell me about your life
Cookie: well I didn't have a father growing up and my mother is dead so my grandma and my grandaddy raised me
Lucious: oh sorry to hear that
Cookie: it's cool
Lucious: anything else you want to tell me about ?
Cookie: I graduated from high school and got my degree and became a nurse which is my dream job
*Lucious eyes got a little big*
Lucious: oh wow
Cookie: what
Lucious: your very independent and I love a independent woman
*Cookie chuckles*
Cookie: tryna flirt on the first date I see
Lucious: not really it was more of a compliment so do you have any siblings ?
Cookie: no I'm the only child
Lucious: must be nice
Cookie: I mean I kind of wish I had siblings but tell me about your life
Lucious: well my mom and dad have been together for 40 years
*Cookie chokes on her drink*
Lucious: you alright ?
Cookie: yeah just caught me by surprise
Lucious: my apologies
Cookie: it's ok I just wonder how people stay together for so long
Lucious: it requires communication, loyalty and forgiveness because I'm sure we all know every couple has their disagreements and everyone is not perfect so it takes a lot of forgiving and people nowadays don't like to forgive and talk things out they just wanna leave I mean I'm not saying forgive somebody for cheating on you or abusing you or disrespecting you but if it's just a small little disagreement or argument you got to forgive if you want a long lasting relationship and you have to be faithful and trust each other and most importantly communicate and talk things out
Cookie inner thoughts: did he say what I think he just said ? Oh wow he seems so mature and wise
Cookie: true that but that's rare nowadays
Lucious: tell me about it he says as if he has already been through it before
Cookie: you mean to tell me you got your heart broke before ?
Lucious: yes, I get my heart broken in every relationship my problem is I'm a lovers boy so when I'm in a relationship I ignore the red flags I just be hard headed and end up learning the hard way
Cookie inner thoughts: he's lying he just trying to play victim I bet all of the women he was with he probably cheated and lied to all of them
Cookie: mmm well I'm surprised a man got his heart broke never heard of it before she says as if he was lying
Lucious: men get their heart broke too but we're just better at hiding it that's why it seems like women are the only ones that go through heart break but y'all are absolutely not the only ones and I'm going to be honest most men don't get their heart broke because their players and love to play with a woman's heart
*Cookie was shocked this is actually the first time she seen a man tell the truth about what other men do*
Cookie inner thoughts: Now I kind of feel bad for what I was thinking earlier I mean what if he actually does get his heart broke in every relationship he gets in ? And he does have a point because I never seen a man show emotions so what if men actually does get their heart broke but just hide it ? I still don't understand tho (though) how could they be so good at hiding stuff like that ?
Cookie: well I guess that's true
Lucious: it is he says with a small smile on his face and it slowly starts to fade away and Cookie notices that
Cookie: hey what's wrong
Lucious: my brother
Cookie: what about him ?
*Lucious eyes start to tear up and he lets out a sigh*
Cookie inner thoughts: wow this is actually my first time seeing a man show emotion
Lucious: I just wish he would turn his life around you know ? The only thing he do is sleep with different women and get them pregnant and then he'll spend time with the child but he won't even help take care of it because he don't have a job and doesn't want one he says getting a job is lame mind you he still lives with our parents when he should have his own place and what makes it sad is out of all 3 of us he is the oldest one. He is suppose to be somebody we can look up to besides our parents but we can't look up to him though and our parents didn't raise him like that they always wondered and me and my sister have always wondered how did he get that kind of mindset it's strange
Cookie: maybe it's the people he hang around you know some parents try their best to raise their kids and they kids end up turning out bad but not because of the parents but because of the people the kids was hanging around that's why If I ever have kids I'm going to always make sure I pay attention to who they hang around
Lucious: yeah true but I just wish he would change like don't get me wrong I love my big brother to death like if he dies right now I would be so heartbroken the love I got for him ain't changed not one bit and never will change I just don't like his mindset that's all
Cookie: well I want to say I understand but I don't have any siblings so I don't really feel where you coming from so just pray anybody can change a person can be a crackhead and then the next minute they won't even do drugs no more or a person can be poor and the next minute be rich
Lucious: thanks for the advice your a good listener
Cookie: no need to thank me we all need to vent sometimes especially in a relationship
Lucious: true
Cookie: so do you have any kids ?
Lucious: yeah I got a 3 year old son named Kaleb um his nickname is Kj but people mostly call him by his real name which is Kaleb *Lucious pulls out his phone finds a recent picture of him and his son*
Lucious: see he says showing the picture to her
Cookie: awe he's so cute he looks just like you except for the eyes
Lucious: yeah I wish he would of had mine but it's cool though bc (because) I wouldn't trade him for nothing in the world
*Cookie smiles*
Cookie: aww that's sweet I love to hear a parent talk like that about their child instead of talking down on them you know ?
Lucious: yeah I get what you're saying
Cookie: so how is your relationship with his mother ?
Lucious: it's good we're like best friends
Cookie: mmm you sure y'all over each other ?
Lucious: yes I'm positive I think the reason we're close is because besides other women she was the only person that didn't play with my emotions and didn't care about the money and I know your wondering right now did she put me on child support or not but to answer your question she didn't she said that I'm a good father and I do what I need to do for my child so she would never put me on child support but she did admit if I was a deadbeat she would definitely put me on child support
Cookie: well how y'all broke up ?
Lucious: she got with me because she thought she was over her ex boyfriend but come to find out she wasn't
Cookie: dang that's tough are they still together?
Lucious: yeah but she says that she's getting tired of him and if he messes up one more time she's done with him
Cookie: oh ok so do y'all live close by ?
Lucious: nah long distance she lives in New York and I live in Philadelphia
Cookie: ok so what do u do for a living ?
Lucious: I'm an engineer
Cookie: wow well that's why women be after your money
Lucious: I know but it's my fault too because I don't take my time so this time I'm going to be careful and take my time and I'm sure that's no problem with you because you've been hurt in the past too
Cookie: yeah true I don't care about us taking our time I don't wanna rush things it's like it never ends well when you rush
Lucious: right

3 hours later they finally leave out the restaurant

Lucious: you wanna go anywhere else ?
Cookie: nah sorry the food got me a little bit lazy my friend asked me did I want to spend time with them but I told them that I was going out with you
Lucious inner thoughts: omg she really put me before her friends
Lucious: Cookie why didn't you tell me I could of cancelled it
Cookie: because I didn't want to make it seem like I was playing you
Lucious: it doesn't matter we barely know each other so your friends definitely come before me so tomorrow I'm going to give you your space and let you spend as much time as u want with your friends how about that ?
Cookie: Lucious it's -
*she was cut off short by him interrupting her*
Lucious: Loretha I love you okay I know we just met but I really do love you, you seem like a great person and a good woman so just like I said spend time with your friends ok he says giving her foreheads a kiss goodbye
*Cookie didn't know what to say he was so sweet and caring*
*Lucious walks away*
*Cookie gets in her car*
Cookie inner thoughts: wow just wow he seems so different from the other men but I'm not going to let that distract me
