Taejin end up together in this, if that makes you uncomfortable then don't read. (They are only really mentioned once though)

Jungkook and Seokjin are actual brothers and this is also a high school au :)

Enjoy!

Jungkook was extremely overprotective of his older brother.

Why may you ask?

Well because according to Jungkook, his dear Jin-hyung was simply too kind and unable to protect himself. Therefore Jungkook had made it his own personal duty to protect his brother from harm, like his own personal bodyguard.

Of course his task was difficult at times because Seokjin was simply too stubborn for his own good! He refused Jungkook's help, claiming that he could look after himself just fine. Jungkook didn't believe that. Not one bit. His dear hyung couldn't even stand up against grasshoppers, never mind ruthless bullies that will stop at nothing to make others miserable.

Due to this, Jungkook hardly let Seokjin out of his sight. Seokjin sighed, not wanting to be babied but when he tried to complain to their mom, she simply told Seokjin to stop whining and let his baby brother have his fun. So now Seokjin is stuck with Jungkook trailing after him everywhere he goes.

In all honesty, it wasn't that bad. Unlike most siblings, Jin and Jungkook got along extremely well. They shared the same humor and interests so they ended up spending most of their time together anyways. It saved their parents a lot of stress.

So, long story short, Jungkook vowed to protect his innocent hyung.

That's why he wasn't happy when he turned the corner and saw a stranger crouched next to Seokjin on the floor.

Seokjin was in a good mood. He sat there on a bench around the back of the school, waiting for his brother. They always ate together, in the same spot, everyday. Jungkook wouldn't have it any other way.

Seokjin hummed while swinging his legs. It was a pretty day, the sun was out and it gave him hope and happiness. He was sure sunshine put everyone in a good mood, after all, sunshine was related to happiness and rain was related to gloom and sadness.

Jin still liked the rain, he was optimistic. He liked looking for the positive in everything and that's why he refused to let the rain's gloom get to him.

He used to be afraid of the rain and the storms that came with it. When he was young, he used to cry when he saw the strong winds shaking everything. That was until his mom told him that the trees were only dancing, that they were happy that they had rain as it made them strong and healthy.

That sentence stuck with Seokjin. Even now, whenever it rained, he sat on his window sill staring out at the dancing trees.

Jin was suddenly snapped out of his happy thoughts by a group of loud boys that came sauntering around the corner. Jin recognized them as boys in the year above him, they were known for basically being the school's bullies. They seemed to enjoy picking on whoever they can, humiliating them if they can. Jin didn't understand them. Not one bit.

His happy mood quickly faded into fear as he noticed they were walking towards him. For once he wished Jungkook was here to protect him as he knew he couldn't protect himself, Jungkook was right (not that he would actually admit that to him).

"Hey loser, where's your little bodyguard?" One of the boys snickered referring to Jungkook.

The whole school knew about Jungkook's over-protectiveness of his brother. It was one of the few reasons Seokjin didn't have many friends, they were all too scared to deal with Jungkook.
