June 6th 1981

Harry chewed desperately on his dummy, tears streaming down his tiny little face as he let out tiny sniffles

Unfortunately he had begun teething, something that turned out to be excruciatingly painful for all of them

Harry had only just begun sleeping through the night and Lily and James had gotten happily used to being able to sleep an entire night without Harry's disruptive wails. However, since he'd begun his teething he seemed to constantly be crying

He now sat on the floor, surrounded by his various stuffed animals, though the usual comfort and entertainment they provided wasn't enough for little Harry at the moment

"Honey...are you sure this is normal? I mean look at his face he's in so much pain...and there's nothing we can do to help him..." James said sadly as he looked at his poor son's brightly pinked cheeks

"James, I promise you it's normal" Lily said with a soft smile, placing a tender kiss on her husband's slightly stubbly cheek, "now please be a good Daddy and feed your son his lunch" she handed him a small container of repulsive looking green baby food

"Are you sure he likes this? Is it even good for him?" James sniffed it then grimaced and fought the urge to gag

Lily frowned, "Yes it's good for him it's actually really good for him, just because you don't like it doesn't mean he doesn't. Can you just feed him please?"

"Alright alright fine" James walked over to Harry and scooped him off the ground, he was still so light ... he hadn't seemed to have grown too much taller or bigger at all in the 11 months since his birth, though his face had definitely morphed and changed, growing even more adorable as he matured

He resembled James all the more as he grew older. He was only 11 months, but he was looking more and more like his daddy with each passing day, that is with the exception of those beautiful green eyes

"Hey kiddo! You ready for some nartsy food? Yeah you are" James said in his overenthusiastic baby voice that always had a way of putting a smile on Lily's face

James sat Harry at the table, strapping him in to his little booster seat, something that proved to be a challenge as Harry began to squirm and whine upon the feeling of being trapped

"I know it sucks kiddo but just bear with Daddy okay?" James couldn't blame Harry for hating his seat, he wouldn't like to eat feeling as if he were stuck to his seat

Harry often only cooperated with his booster seat when Lily helped him, something James despised. Harry never was a pest to Lily, he always acted the part of an angel around her and took on more devilish tendencies with his father

James pulled open the container of baby food and scooped a small bite onto the spoon, studying it throughly disgustedly

"Hey Lils...you do realize this food is gonna come out the other end..."

"James" Lily sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose at her husband's thick immaturity

James however only chuckled, holding the spoon in front of Harry's mouth

Harry swatted at the fork scrunching his face up tightly at the sight of the green goop

"Jeesh, even he doesn't like it and he chews on his own feet..."
