A gentle tugging on Lily's sleeve awoke her from her slumber

She let out a yawn and turned to her side to see what the reason for her sudden wakefulness was

"Harry? What's going on love?" Lily said quietly as she sat up and rubbed her tired eyes, a quick glance at the clock revealed it was 4 in the morning

Harry whimpered and buried his face into his hands, "Mummy..."

"Honey?" Lily suddenly became fully awake, the sound of her son's distress cuing her mother instincts

"Mummy I-I had a ass...assident"

"What? Baby..."

"Mummy I peeded in my pants!" Harry whimpered, beginning to cry out of clear humiliation

"Oh my poor sweetheart" she gently cupped Harry's small face and felt her heart ache when he leaned his little face against her hand

"Mummy I sowwy" he sobbed

"Shh it's okay" lily cooed gently, easily picking him up and holding him tightly against her chest

He slightly shook in her arms, convulsing from his little sobs

"Let's go get you cleaned up baby" she said as she gently kissed his head and walked him out of the room

As she left though the sound of her husband's sleep slurred voice met her ears, "whatsgoinon?"

"Nothing James, go back to sleep"

"Yes mum..." he said, instantly falling back into a deep sleep

"Lily walked Harry to his room and saw the little wet mark on his bed from his accident, "Harry my poor baby...did you have a nightmare?"

Harry nodded his head, his bottom lip quivering

"What was it honey?" Lily asked as she took the sheets off his bed and quickly spelled them clean

"D-daddy an you d-died an...I was awone wif dudwey" Harry said through a weak voice

"Oh my baby boy" lily gently crouched in front of Harry and kissed his cheek, "that's not going to happen Harry...daddy and I will always be here for you, hear me? Always"

Harry nodded and sniffled, a sight that hurt Lily's heart

"Come on pumpkin let's get you out of those pyjamas and get you into the bath

Lily helped Harry out of his little pyjamas and then carried him to the bath where she immediately ran a warm watered bath and added lots of bubbles knowing Harry still loved them

She gently placed him into the water and kissed his forehead, "Harry do you know how much I love you?"

Harry shrugged and played with his fingers sadly

"Honey I love you more than anything else in this world, you and your daddy are everything to me...and I'm not going to let anything happen to either of you? Okay?"

Harry nodded slowly, "okay Mummy"

Lily smiled and gently cleaned Harry's hair, deciding it was also time for a trim, she took it upon herself to slightly trim Harry's long hair

He smiled at her when she'd finished, "Mummy do you know how much i wuv you?"

Lily giggled, "how much angel?"

"I wuv you to infinity and beyond!" Harry said happily, a wide grin on his face

"Oh baby that's very sweet, but no matter what you say I'll always love you more"

Harry shook his head, "no way jose"

"Yes way" lily said softly

She finished soaping her son and smiled smelling the subtle smell of lavender that Harry now scented of

She dressed him back into a fresh pair of pyjamas and carried him to bed

Harry yawned once she'd placed him onto his bed, "Mummy can you stay...i'm scawed"

Lily smiled softly and sat on the bottom of Harry's bed, "whats there to be scared of?"

"Da...da bad dweems Mummy"

Lily sighed pulled the covers over Harry, gently forcing him to lay back onto his bed

"Harry, there is nothing to be scared about, it's only a dream"

"B-but what if I peepee again?"

"Then you come get me and I'll clean you up just as well as I have this time" she gently caressed Harry's soft cheek, finding her son's soft heart causing her own to melt

"You won't be mad?"

Lily chuckled, "Harry I'll never be mad for something like this...it's like you said, and accident you can't help it and I'm happy you came and got me"

"Willy?" Harry asked hopefully

"Yes pumpkin, really...now how about you go back to sleep but you don't let those dreams control you, you control your dreams"

"How mummy?"

"Be brave...and think of how much mummy and daddy love you, it's a love so strong that it'll never separate us...well always be with you no matter what"

Harry nodded slowly and hugged onto his Hippogriff, it was now a proper size for him but still quite large

Lily placed a gentle kiss to his forehead, "goodnight Harry Potter"

"Night night mummy...I wuv you"

"I love you more" lily said as she got up and turned out the lights to his room

Harry yawned, "but I wuv you da mostest"

Lily hesitated and smiled softly, feeling a wave of affection that almost made her teary eyed

She slowly walked back to bed and snuggled up to James, finding it amazing that they'd created such a wholesome little human
