"Happy Valentine's Day love"

Lily smiled and kissed James, "happy Valentine's Day"

They shared a passionate kiss, James sliding a hand along Lily's hip and giving a firm squeeze

"Lily?"

"Mmm"

"Let me get you your present"

Lily chuckled, "James you didn't need to—"

"No no no I don't wanna hear it, you deserve something amazing and I delivered"

Lily let out a small laugh, "oh alright then"

James quickly ran to the closet where he had been keeping a small case of chocolates he knew to be Lily's absolute favourites. Chocolates might not seem like much but considering how rare it was to stumble across the sweets they may as well have been a diamond necklace

Lily's eyes went wide when he handed her the box, "James! These are my favourites! Thank you thank you" she jumped into his arms kissing him with a wide smile on her lips

James swelled with pride, "I know love, go on open them they're just for you"

Lily smiled and opened the box but looked puzzled before she looked up and gasped, "what kind of sick joke is this James?"

"What?" James asked highly confused as he looked into the box to find it completely empty

James ground his teeth together, a knowing rage filling inside him "Harry James Potter!"

James stormed into the family room but was caught off guard by what he saw, Harry had a wand ... one that looked suspiciously alike to his own, and was waving it around sending small sparks all over the room as he flailed it around

"Harry! No no no!" James quickly lunged forward and yanked the wand away from his son, shooting him an angry frown as he pocketed his wand

"Harry did you eat the chocolates in my closet?" James asked sternly

Harry looking frightened by his father's display of anger, but instead of just telling the truth and making it simple Harry looked James straight in the eye and shook his head

James frowned, it was clear to anyone Harry and eaten the chocolates. He looked as if he had half of the sweets all over his face in what looked like a chocolate goatee

"Don't lie to me young man" James said, giving Harry one more chance to come clean

"I not eat ch-cholat" Harry stuttered looking adorably innocent even though he was clearly guilty

"Fine, if you're going to lie to me you'll get a time out" James roughly picked up his small son who feasibly attempted to crawl away from James but simply had no chance against his much larger father

"No Daddy no!" Harry screamed and grabbed ahold of James' glasses, throwing them off and sending them clattering to the floor
