We just finished dinner and if I'm being honest it was really nice. Getting to know everyone and actually bonding with them. I'm thankful Anna offered this idea.
I helped clean up the table and dishes, it was the least I can do. When Anna came over with Tyler and Christian.
"Okay, Renesme it's my brothers 21st birthday tomorrow" Anna says
"Aww, 21 that's a big number and it's in quarantine" I sigh finishing the dishes
"Since Daniel doesn't know you well, you're gonna help to surprise him" Christian explains
"Surprise him with what? I'm sure he knows it's his birthday tomorrow" I laugh
"No, we're gonna bake a cake or Christians gonna make something" Anna states
"I think I'm gonna make Tiramisu, he liked it the first time I made it" Christian says grabbing his keys
"Wait you're leaving?" Tyler asks
"Well yeah, we don't have all the ingredients"
"Anyways while they are doing that, we were gonna make the dessert but then it's suspicious because they have to make sure he doesn't see, so he's gonna know" Anna continues "that's why we decided you use an excuse that you want to get to know him, and say that you already got through Tyler and Christian" Anna smiles and the other two nod their head, proud of what they planned.
"Sounds good, but what if he's boring" I jokingly shrug
"He's had a red bull, you'll be good" Tyler states
"Okay, Anna will show you his room while Tyler and I are going to the store" Christian says grabbing two face masks handing one to Tyler
"How long is it going to take?"
"Not too long, but we're gonna let the dish set overnight" Christian explains heading out the door
I follow Anna going to the entrance of his room.
"knock, go in, you know the plan" Anna whispers gently pushing me to the door.
"here it goes" I whisper back knocking on the door hearing a faint "come in" from inside the room.
"Hi" I say coming inside and slightly closing the door behind me "I want to get to know my roommates more, if you don't mind" I smile
"Yeah, sit down" he gestures to his bed
I close the door fully, and walk over to his bed sitting down with a little bounce. "How long have you had your dog?"
"Kobe? We just got him today actually" He smiles
"awww, he's so cute" I smile "what's on the computer?" I ask curiously
"Some music, if you want you can listen to a few"
"I would love to, what's that?" I stand up going to his desk pointing at a frame with five guys and a few letters scattered around
"That's a frame of our album" He smiles glancing at the frame then scrolling through his computer
"Ohh, right you're in a band" I smile "8" I pause trying to figure out what it says "eltters" I whisper "oh 8 Letters!" I laugh "that took me a while"
Daniel chuckles picking a song that lasted a little over a minute.
"Dang that's good, is that on the album?" I say sitting back down on his bed.
"It's going to be on an album" he answers
"Have you went on tour?" I ask
"Yeah, actually last year I was on tour and we did this whole 92 world show tour" he explains
"92 shows!" I'm shocked "that's basically how long I've been here and I'm getting, well I was getting tired of it" I laugh
"When are you going back to Canada? Like right when the airports open?" He asks
"Um, thats what I was thinking but it's definitely not going to be the safest" I shrug "I don't know, I don't want to stay here too long especially because I'm basically in a house full of strangers. I literally just took photos for Anna" I laugh
"Yeah, I can tell she likes you because- well one she invited you and two you guys seem really similar" he laughs
"yeah, when you go on tour... do you ever get home sick?" I ask
"I definitely miss my family, but I also love going on stage and meeting everyone so in a way I guess but I wouldn't call it home sick" he smiles
"Mhm, you seem really close with your family" I smile
"Yeah I am, how about you and your family?"
"Well, I'm closer to Sam only because he doesn't yell at me when I do dumb shit while Nate tries to prevent me from doing whatever it is. I would say I'm close to them, we would always go on at least one trip a year either snowboarding or hiking" I smile "it was always something outside with the five of us"
"Oh, when was the last time Nate tried getting you out of trouble?" Daniel asks, sitting on the bed next to me.
"Umm, this isn't bad but it's a big. Last month, when he was telling me about the news and I just ignored him because I didn't want to cancel any events" I laugh "when I get home, he's definitely going to say 'i told you so'" I mock, already picturing him saying it.
"I'm guessing he says that often" He laughs
"Yeah, how about you and Anna? you guys are close in age, right?"
"Yeah, I'm almost 21 and she just turned 19. There's so many videos of Anna and I dancing-"
"No way! I have to see that!"
