"Ma! Where is my uniform?" I scream for my mother while I frantically look for my uniform. The long grey dress was nowhere to be seen and it wasn't where I left it yesterday. "It's in the wash! Wear the other one!" She shouts back and I froze. A groan escaped my lips as I bend my head back.
One problem mother, the other one is much shorter than the other. I wanted to stay home but staying home wasn't an option. I sighed before sobering myself and walking to my cupboard to get my uniform.
The one I usually wear was a little under my knees and fit me loosely but still showed my curves. My back up uniform was a little tighter and ended above my knees. It's not that I don't like wearing it but it gives me attention. I hate getting attention. I like to blend into the crowd not stand out.
I push my thoughts aside and carefully slipped into the dress. After it was on I walked in front of the mirror. I bite my lip nervously as I looked down at my uniform. Sighing, I grabbed my coat and slipped it on before walking out of my small room.
"Good morning," I softly say, grabbing an apple as breakfast. My mother looked at me and frowned," there was a break in this morning, three apartments away," she explained the reason for her frowning. "Is everyone okay?" I asked worriedly and she nodded. "Yes, every valuable is gone but we are wolves, we protect ourselves," my mother rambled and I stiffened.
I'm not a werewolf though. I don't turn into a killer and I don't have any special abilities.
"Meet me at the library after work and we will walk home together," she finished. I show her a small smile and I nod before pushing myself off the wall and walking to the door.

My father's favorite song that hummed while I washed the dishes had me smiling. Despite my crappy morning, work has been good. I've realized that how things are since Julian has returned to his pack is going to be the new normal. Everyone is busy, all the time. Different groups of people are always training, there is always chatter in the lounge but silence in the main rooms or whenever Julian was near. These people were mad respectful over Julian that it scares them.
And myself.
The memory of what happened earlier was still fresh in my head.
I walked out of the elevator, not wanting to be late to lunch with Rachel when I banged my body into another that reminded me of a tall rock tree. "Ah, shit," I cursed, steadying myself.
"Oceania? Are you okay?" My body froze as I looked up his torso to his grey eyes. "Uh- yeah," I quickly replied. Julian's jaw clenched as he scanned over my body until they landed on my thighs. "Fucking hell," Julian muttered to himself. He shut his eyes tightly, his hands forming fists.
I was so confused over what was happening, I didn't know what to do. "Uh, um...did I do something?" I innocently asked and his eyes snapped open. "No," he flatly stated before walking off. I haven't been so confused like that in a long time.
A piercing pain shot through my entire hand as the knife cut deeply into the pad of my thumb. "Shit," I cursed after dropping the knife and cradling my hand. Quickly, I ran it under the tap and winced at the pain. Everything hurts more with my no blood diet. My body slows down as if I'm dying which makes it take three minutes to heal when it should take three seconds.
I guess that's a good thing. Makes it more believable that I'm human. "What did you do?" My head looks up to Julian approaching me, his eyes looking at my bloodied hand. It wouldn't stop bleeding.
"Nothing," I turn away from him, not wanting to see my bleeding finger. His hands gripped my shoulders, keeping me in place as our eyes found each other. I almost forget about the pain of my finger when I start to take interest in his grey eyes.
They are so breathtaking, literally.
His eyes slowly drift down to my hand and I was too taken up with his touch to stop him. Julian took his bottom lip between his teeth as he studied my finger. "Come on," he whispered and pulled my wrist as we walked towards the hallway.
"What are you doing, Julian?" I questioned in which he ignored. Julian walks into the empty bathroom and shut the door behind me using his foot. My body was under his command as he put my finger under the warm running water.
My lips part as I studied Julian, the way he washed my finger making sure to get rid of all the blood but not hurting me at the same time. He was so concentrated on the little cut on my finger, he tunes out my soft protests or even when I would inhale sharply.
As he locked off the tap, Julian's eyes flicked to mine before he pulled my hand up. His fingers were wrapped around my hand while holding up my thumb finger with the fresh small wound. Our eyes locked on each other as he brought my finger to his lips. He slowly parted his lips and brought the tip of my thumb into his mouth before closing his lips around my finger.
"Juli-" My protest was cut short when I felt his tongue slowly run along the wound, filling it with warmth. My insides felt fuzzy as I kept reminding myself how to breathe.
Pull away your finger.
My subconscious was all over the place, his wet tongue and pink lips made me fantasize about what he could do to me and I tried to push them away. I can't be having those thoughts about the king for god's sake. He removed my finger, never removing his eyes from mine. "I-I'm sorry," he whispered, frantically looking around the small bathroom. "It's okay," I surprised myself by saying, I can tell even he was surprised since his eyes shot to mine.
He bites the corner of his lips as he studied me. There was something about him that I didn't discover yet, it made me more inquisitive about him but I had to remember I have to stay away from this man. Julian raised his hands to open the cupboard above my head. He rummaged through it and once he found what he was looking for, he shuts them and opens his hands in front of me to reveal a bandaid.
He brought the bandaid to his lips, and tear the packaging off. I smiled at the cute pink material. His fingers brushed off the paper covering the sticky part before bringing it to wrap around my finger. I watch his slow movements as his tongue run over his bottom lip before he finished.
His fingers interlocked with mine before bringing my hand to his lips and kissing my thumb. "All better," he released my hand with a smile. "Do you treat all your subjects like this?" I curiously asked making him smile so wide that his deep dimples appear.
"Only the special ones," he replied with a small smile and seriousness in his eyes. I look at the closed door and decided it was time to take my leave. "Okay, well um...thank you," I managed to say as I pushed myself to the door.
"Anytime, Oceania," Julian winked before I shut the door, separating us. I walk until I was in the kitchen before allowing myself to breathe.
That was intense.
