Scott's POV

Today is the surprise for Mitch, and not to toot my own horn, but I've gotten pretty good at sign language. I haven't shown Mitch yet. I've only used the alphabet. I walk up to Mitch and wave my hand in front of him to get his attention since he didn't have his hearing aids in.

"How can you hear the TV without your hearing aids?" I mouth to Mitch.

"I have my hearing aids in." he replies, sounding like he used to before he stopped hearing.

"No, they're right there." I said, pointing to the table. Mitch's eyes went wide. "What?"

"I can hear without them! Scott, I can hear!" He jumps up and runs into my arms. I pick him up and swing him around.

After we celebrated, it was time for the surprise. I left rose petals everywhere for Mitch so he would know where to go, just like I did when I asked him to marry me.

Mitch's POV

I wake up and see a letter next to my head.

Mitchie, put on the outfit that's laid out for you and follow the rose petals to the beach across the street. Don't worry, they're real rose petals, so I didn't litter. I'll see you soon, gorgeous. Love, Scottie.

I get to the beach and see the rose petals on the sand, and I see my family and friends sitting on chairs. As I walk further, my father meets me.

"Dad?" I ask him.

"Son, I know I was never supportive of your liking of boys, but I love you for who you are, Mitch."

"You called me Mitch." I said, smiling. He smiles back.

"That's who you are, son, and I am proud to be your father."

"Dad, do you know what's going on?"

"Let's go." We walk between two rows of seats, and I see Scott standing with a preacher.

I'm getting married.

As I walk down the aisle, the song I Choose You by Sara Bareilles is playing. That's the first song Scott ever dedicated to me. Scott meets me and my dad, and he takes my hand and leads me up.

"I don't have my vows with me." I whisper to Scott. He pulls out the envelope with my vows in it.

"I didn't read it, but I saw it a couple of days ago." Scott hands the vows to me, and tears are already swelling in my eyes. The preacher begins the ceremony, and it's now time for the vows. I went first.

"Scooter, today I take you to by my husband. Together we will create a home, becoming a part of one another. I vow to help create a life that we can cherish, inspiring your love for me and mine for you. I vow to be honest, caring and truthful, to love you as you are and not as I want you to be, and to grow old by your side as your love and best friend. I love you, Sacajawea, and I couldn't imaging living this life without you."

I see tears come to his eyes, as well to everyone else's. It's now Scott's turn. He pulls out the paper and hands it to his brother, which is his best man.

Scott's POV

"I didn't really plan on Mitch having his hearing back quite yet, but I worked hard on this. So, here it goes." I take a deep breath and start to sign my vows, and tears are already falling down Mitch's face. "Macaroon, today we become lifelong partners. I  will strive to give you the best of myself, while accepting you the way you are. I promise to respect you as a whole person with your own interests, desires, and needs, and to realize that those are sometimes different, but no less important than my own. I promise to keep myself open to you, to let you in to my innermost fears and feelings, secrets and dreams. I promise to grow along with you, to be willing to face change as we both change, keeping our relationship alive and exciting. And finally, I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever."

We then exchange rings. The rings have our voice waves saying "I do." I secretly got Mitch's when I was asking if someone had a phone charger I could use.

"I now pronounce you Mr. and Mr. Grassi-Hoying. You may now kiss the groom." I pull Mitch into me, feeling his lips on mine, and every one starts applauding.

"I love you so much, Scottland."

"I love you too, Maria." I take my husband's hand and walk down the aisle to our new life and our new adventures.
