"What happened to you?!!" Dad said.

"Its nothing." I lied.

"You're my daughter. I know if something happened or not." He said.

"Fine. I saw someone." I said.

I noticed my dad took a deep breath and his eyes grew wider after I said it.

"Er, who did you see?" He asked.

"Michael." I said right away.

"Oh." He said.

"Dad? What is it? You're not telling me something." I said.

He was about to open his mouth when my mom walked in.

"Oh, sweetie what's wrong?" She asked.

"She saw him." Dad said.

"Okay, what do you guys know?" I asked.

Mom took a deep breath and started talking. "We were hesitant to come here because we knew you might see him." She said.

"You knew he was going to be here?" I asked.

Dad nodded.

"What? How?" I asked.

"Your brother's girl friend is a friend of Michael's fiancee and they were invited to the wedding but your brother didn't because of you and he told us not to tell you." Dad said.

"Oh wow. Very small world." I said.

"Honey, are you okay?" Mom asked.

"I'm not but I'll be." I said and I walked into my room. "Good night, mom, dad."

Before shutting the door, mon whispered something in my ears. "Everything's going to be okay."

I smiled at her and I decided to go to sleep even though I'm not tired and all I want to do is think about him.

The next day, I woke up at 6 in the evening. I stayed in my room until 8. My parents were probably out enjoying without me.

As I was having dinner, I realized it was Michael's wedding today. "Shit!" I shouted. Everything flashed before my eyes. I couldn't let the love of my life be married to someone else. I don't care anymore. I love him and I'm not letting him go.

I put on some clothes and ran as fast as I could asking everyone if they knew where the wedding was. Finally someone knew where it was. "It's probably over." He said.

I didn't care, I went to the place anyway. When I got there, they were already cleaning up. I closed my eyes and cried. It's over. He was married. I'm never going to get him back.

I decided to get drunk all by myself and find a handsome greek man and marry him right away. I didn't care.

I stopped by this restaurant and ordered a whole bottle of scotch. I chugged as much as I could. I was observing everyone in the restaurant. They were so happy, I was the only one alone in there.

"You know, it's sad to drink alone."

I looked up and it was him. What an asshole. Making me feel like an idiot. I don't want him to see me getting drunk because he got married.

"Leave me alone." I said.

"You could at least offer me a drink." Michael said.

"I will not. And what the hell are you doing here?" I asked. "You're supposed to be with your wife." I emptied my glass as fast as I can. I was starting to feel dizzy.

"I don't have a wife." He said and looked me in the eyes. "What are you talking about?"

"Don't play around, Michael. Get away from me." I said.

"I'm serious. I don't have one." He said.

"What are you talking about? You just got married, I went there and they were already cleaning up." I said.

"You went there? Why?" He said.

I poured myself another glass. "To get you back but I was late."

"You did?" He asked.

"Yeah so stop talking to me and go to your wife."

"I told you, I don't have one." He said, he took my glass and drank it empty.

"What? You're confusing me." I asked.

"I ran away from the wedding. I was up there, I though I could. But all I could see was you. I wished you were there beside me and I don't want her to suffer even more so I ran away. She told me to be happy. She understood me. Surprising, but she did. I looked for you, I searched everywhere and finally, I lost hope and decided to grab a drink here and I saw you, I believed it was faith. I love you, Anne. I don't want to live my life without you." He said.

I swear, my dizziness went away. I felt sober again. I cried. It wasn't because I was sad, I was so happy that I couldn't contain it anymore.

"Are you serious?" I asked.

"How's this for serious?" He popped the box from his suit pocket. It revealed a diamond ring.

"What is that? Is that her engagement ring?" I asked.

"Of course not. This is my mom's ring. Before going here, I asked for it. I didn't give this to her, maybe because I knew that she wasn't the one. Maybe the universe helped me reserve this for you. My mom was glad to give it to me." He explained.

"Wow. Thank you." I said.

He laughed. "You're so funny. I've missed you. But you have to say yes first."

"To what?"

"To this." He knelt down in front of me, I felt everyone was looking at me. "You are the most beautiful woman, I've ever seen. I lost you once, I'm not loosing you again. Will you marry me?"

Everyone clapped and I felt like the luckiest girl in the whole world. "Yes. Of course yes. Fuck yes!" I said and wrapped my arms around him as tears run down my cheeks. "I love you."

"I love you, Anne. Until the day I die." He said.
