We all sit around Stiles' room, looking through my moms research and discussing where I fit into the supernatural world.
"Have you guys noticed any thing else that could help us narrow down what we're looking for?" Kira asks, thumbing through a nearly illegible notebook.
"Well, last night when we were...it doesn't matter what we were doing," Stiles rushes on to get to the point and a blush heats my cheeks. "Violet's eyes were glowing purple."
There's a beat of silence as Scott and Kira take in this new information.
"Glowing purple eyes, got it. I'll keep an eye out, if I can make any sense of these scribbles." Kira is helping me look through my mom's journals.
It gets quiet again as we continue our search.
"This is interesting." Stiles speaks up, pulling everyone's focus from their designated book.
"Your mom had this page bookmarked." He looks up at me and the group.
"What's it say?" Scott asks, intrigued.
"It's about Sirens." Stiles looks directly at me then back down at the book.
"Like the old school greek mythology Sirens that lured sailors to their death with their enchanting songs."
"Do you think, I mean, is that what I am?" I ask quietly, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
"I don't know, Vi. I've heard you sing in the shower and that tune ain't exactly alluring." Stiles laughs at his own joke and I launch a pillow at him, hitting him in the head.
"But her scent is." Scott looks at me accusingly from his spot at the desk. "Not to mention her instant popularity as soon as she started at Beacon, as if people literally can't help themselves from wanting to be around her."
I sit up straighter on the bed, suddenly feeling like I'm under a microscope. Kira is sitting on the bed with me, she closes her book and shoots Scott a warning look.
"Sorry, Scott still gets a little testy during the full moon." She gives me an apologetic smile.
I hadn't even realized it was a full moon, not that I have had any reason to pay attention to the lunar cycle. I've been so focused on Stiles lately, I had almost forgotten his best friend is a Werewolf.
Stiles' phone rings, taking the attention off of me, thankfully.
"Hey, are you still coming over? You're missing some interesting developments." I assume he's talking to Lydia, she was supposed to be here too.
"What do you mean lost? You've been here before, several times." Stiles looks confused as he speaks to her. "Lydia?"
He lowers the phone and puts it on speaker.
"I don't know, I just started driving and this is where I ended up." Her feminine voice comes through the phone.
"Where? Where did you end up?" Stiles askes, focused on the phone.
There's a pause before she continues.
"A cemetery."
We all share a look.
This can't be good.
We hear her car door shut and her heels click on concrete before softening as the terrain changes to grass.
"Lydia, what are you doing?" Stiles stands up from his place in the floor and joins me and Kira on the bed so we can all hear more clearly.
"...I don't know.. looking for... something." She sounds thoughtful, as if she's not a hundred percent sure what she's looking for either.
