Astrid's new world

Chapter 1: happy

My hear beat the same rhythm of the drum, my heart felt like it was going to pound out of me. I placed my hand on stormflys horn and gave her the signal. The horn blew and we all speeded off into the air. My face turned serious and I passed everyone except for one. I was right at his tail. Watching his every signal and movement waiting for the best time to pass him. The horn blew and everyone separated and searched for the sheep.
"Hey babe I thought maybe we could go back to my place after-" I cut the snot rat off.
"not going to happen." I speeded off before he could answer. I found the black dragon with a little sheep dangling from his legs. Uhh he always gets the sheep but not today stormfly got a lot of rest and is ready to get the black sheep. I flew down and under feeling the wind whipping across my face, this is the life. After the race that i won, obviously I rode down to the great hall and found hiccup talking with his mom at the meeting table. I walked down the hall and sat beside him.
"Hi hiccup what are you talking about?"
"Umm I got to go off on a couple of chief meetings across our ocean and won't be back for a couple of days.."He said quietly.
"Oh and I suppose I can't come," he nodded.
"Well when are you coming back?"
" five months the lastest." He said.
"Oh well I'll miss u. When are you leaving?"
"Tommorow morning."
I didn't answer but just gave him a hug then ran off home. Great I was going to be alone again. For five months, at least it wasn't for five years. I sat by the window and left the soft breeze between my hand as I reached as far out as I could. I watched our friends train their dragons some on fire... Snotloud. Before realizing the soft sun has set for the day and went to go read the book of dragons.
