chapter 4

i woke up with something heavy on my hand, i opened my eyes to see xander sleeping, i gently shook him trying to get him wake up, because my hand is going numb, but there was not an answer that came from xander, he just stayed asleep, so i thought of the greatest way to wake him up, it's either the water that is on the nightstand beside the bed, or i could yell at his ears. the 'yell at ears' plan it is.

"xander" i said but my throat was a little dry, so i picked up the glass of water and drank it

"XAnder" i said with a Little more loudness into it, but there was once again no answer, i was getting pissed off because i was losing my patience with him

"XANDER!!!!!!!!!" i yelled, and FINALLY he sat up quickly and looked around searching where the sound came from.

"what, who, where.... synthia? is that you? why are we in the infirmary? oh wait, i brought you here, now that you're awake, i need to ask you something, why were there blood and a wound on your neck?" he asked suspiciously

"i-i don't r-remember, a-all i-i r-remembered w-was that s-sir j-jayson h-held a k-knife to m-my n-neck and it m-may have c-caused a lot of b-blood to go o-out, i c-couldn't b-bear the p-pain so i s-screamed" i lied well not in entirely, only half of it, i hugged my knees for a convincing effect or so i thought.

" WHAT!!!!?? Mr. Jayson did THAT to you!!!!! but you just got here!? how could he do that!! but he only does that when he feels someone is a threat, but you are not threat to me" he shouted but got calmer as i caressed his cheek, i don't know why though, but i just felt like it

" it's alright xander, it's not that bad, it's just a scratch, look, see? it's already heeling, so no need to worry, and thanks for bringing me here, that was really sweet of you" i said with soft eyes and a kind smile.

"i know, i know i'm just worrying to much, and... wait your not stuttering?" he asked as he raised an eyebrow, shitake mushrooms!!!!!!! i forgot that i was supposed to be shy!!!!! ugh!!!! i'm such an idiot!!!! think synthia think of an excuse!!!!!

"i-i don't know, but when i'm around you i just feel safe, and protected" i said looking down and avoiding eye contact, so that he can't see the blush forming on my cheeks, i don't know where that came from, but it saved my cover.

"synthia, don't be shy around me, i will always be there for you, now go back to sleep, you've got a big day tomorrow, we don't want your voice to be unheard now do we?" he said with a smirk, and i nodded, he probably remembered that i have to sing in front of everybody, probably thinking it's fun to see me upstage nervous.

" alright, but promise me one thing?" i asked as i looked up on him, with half lidded eyes, because i was sleepy

" and what is that?" he asked me

" sleep beside me" i said as i close my eyes and lied (sp?) down, i heard him chuckle and lied down next to me, he put one arm under my head, and the other hugging my waist, 'it feels comfortable when he is hugging me like this' i thought and drifted of to sleep.

*fast forward to tomorrow morning*

*still synthia's PoV*

"synthia wake up, we've got work to do" said a voice, shaking me violently

"mmmm, 5 more minutes" i said and rolled over

"*sigh* alright synthia you left me no choice" the voice said and i heard footsteps walking away and running water, i wonder what that could be, but before i got to even more idea's, i was splashed with cold water

"WHAT THE- XANDER!!!!! YOU WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID!!!, j-just y-you w-watch" i yelled as i shivered from the cold, oh xander you will pay big time
