Spring: A Flower In Bloom

Spring. Traces of cold winter are starting to melt. Trees are starting to grow leaves and flowers. With my headphones on my ears I wander around. Spring breeze starts to touch my skin, it feels so relaxing. I sit on a bench and starts to read a book.

In my own world where no one knows where, I stay in there far from people, far from distractions.

"Uhhmm... Excuse me?"

I look where the voice came from. Standing in front of me, a guy in glasses. Wearing an open polo with white shirt in it and black pants. I looked in his brown eyes and there I accidentally fell for it. He's mouthing something but I can't hear it. He started to point his two ears like he is trying to say that I should remove my headphones to hear him. After I removed my headphones, he started to smile. A smile that can captivate anyone's heart.

"Can I sit here?"

He said while pointing a space beside me. I nodded at him. He sit beside me while I put back my headphones on and starts to read the book that I'm reading earlier. I suddenly felt something on my shoulders. The guy beside me is asleep and he is resting his head on my shoulders by accident. Maybe he is tired, so I let him rest. I can't blame him if he is tired. Living in this world really is tiring.

After a while, I felt that he moves. Probably that he is already awake. I removed my headphones and hears him apologizing while his cheeks are red. He's kind a cute. I chuckled and says that it's alright.

"I better get home, It will be night time soon. You should be too."

I said to him and put back my headphones on again. I was walking when I pass by the tree that has a box under it. I squat and found out that inside the box there is a little kitten. I also noticed that there is something written on the box.

'Please adopt me'

I reach the kitten inside the box but the kitten was too afraid. So, it started to jump off the box and run away. I follow the kitten and tried to catch it. There is a possibility that something may happen to it if I just let it.

I saw the kitten and it was about to cross the road. Since I'm eager to catch the kitten I also cross the road without thinking. When suddenly pull me with full force that cause my headphones to fall out from my ears and hear my surroundings. I hear a loud beep coming from a car.

"Don't just cross the road just like that you might get hurt"

I looked up and saw the same guy from earlier. He raised the book that he is holding.

"You forgot your book"

He said with a smile and lightly pat my head with the book. I suddenly froze with his smile. I never saw anyone smile at me like that. I take my book from him when I remember the kitten that I'm chasing.

"The kitten... Where is the kitten?"

I said while looking around.

"You mean this guy?"

He asked. I looked at him and found out that he is holding the kitten that I'm chasing. I nodded at him and take the kitten.

"Anyways... I'm Xian"

That spring, a flower inside me started to bloom unexpectedly. A beautiful flower that no one can see but only few can feel.
