Hero Academy

Chapter 9

          Dammit! Dammit!! Dammit!!! What the hell!!? Do they want to kill me before admission? The giant android raised his foot and was about to step on me, i felt like my whole life flashed before my eyes at that moment... I had accepted death until i remembered, my promise... What happened to my parents and their dead bodies. At that moment my eyes flashed and I slid to my left and he stepped on the floor, the shock-wave from that attack was massive but i stood my ground, I touched the android and electricity flew through it... "Huh? Isn't my quirk power up?" The robot deactivated and tilted over. I felt really good about myself but that feeling lasted for seconds as i doubled over in pain... My right arm and left leg were black and looked burnt... I was screaming in agony and soon i couln't maintain consciousness again.

                                                                                    A FEW HOURS LATER[AT LEAST I THINK SO]

         I wake up and see different faces surrounding me, my eyes were blurry so i couldn't identify the people near me, Minutes later all the faces thinned down to one and i could see clearly, i saw a girl who looked 18 from appearance, she smiled and said

 " So you finally woke up hun?" 

I replied" Where am i? What happened to me?" 

She said " It's a repercussion from your quirk, This is the first time you have used it right"

I looked at her suspiciously and said " Yes... How do you know that?" 

She replied " I'm the school nurse, Sasha... I have healed countless people with countless injuries and yours were peculiar so it was just a wild guess" 

I replied " Interesting..."

She cut me short saying " Do you know about the world around you anyways... Your friends who were visiting earlier were clueless about what's going on in the world" 

I said " Hmm, educate me then"

she looked excited yet serious and started talking..." Quirks are superhuman abilities a person is born with, quirk strengths vary depending on the user and these abilities were found out through a test..." 

I cut her of saying" Which test exactly" 

She looked angry, as-if she wanted to murder me and said" I was getting to that...  A human with a quirk is born with two hearts" 

I looked at her and remembered my parents dead bodies... Now that i think of it they had 3 holes in their heart... I asked anxiously " Can someone have more than two hearts"

She smiled and said " That is out of the range of our discussion" I could tell... Her smile was fake. She continued " A quirk attaches itself to the host so if the host were to die then the quirk disappears and vice versa. Quirk are part of daily living in meta humans and can be a family trait passed on from generation to generation."

          " Upon closer inspection I realized that you have a dual quirk... And before you talk a dual quirk is a rare ability some people are born with... Depending on the type of quirk people can combine it to make one powerful quirk, Your two quirks are Power-up and electricity... The electricity is what caused the injury on your leg and arm"

I replied " Wow... So i have a rare ability?" With this ability... Just maybe... no I will avenge their death.           

She replied" You really are a fascinating young boy, one more thing, did Drake tell you anything about the origin of heroes and their current state?" 

I replied " Actually now that you mention it... No he barely said anything about heroes" 

She replied " This guy is just clueless, in the before society there were no meta-humans till the advent of one... That one meta-human decided to use his quirk for evil deeds so he was unstoppable till another meta-human rose up to stop him... Since then heroes and villains have become common names in the society, Villains destroy heroes save..." 

I replied smiling " One day I will become a hero... and a hero that will be remembered by everyone... The world's greatest hero."

She chuckled and continued " But it's kinda ridiculous that you can't be a hero till you get a license from the government..." 

I replied " They do realize that we can crush them anytime anywhere right... And I feel there is something your hiding from me so what is it?" 

She looked down and said" Umm... Not really hiding just like umm... You know what let me just tell you...  Asher the quirk you have... It is not compatible with your body... I heard all about you and Asher... You can not be a hero or even avenge your parent's death... I'm sorry."
