"Hello new students of Cherryton Academy! I am Mr. Sato and I'm going to be your English teacher for the entirety of this year, so buckle your booshums because these upcoming years are going to be the years of your life!"
"He's so lame." Freddie said, rolling his eyes.
"Hey, he seems like a nice guy, don't knock him down just yet." You say, laughing a bit.
"Fiiine." He says, rolling his eyes once more before smiling at you, blushing at you smiling.
"Well, we'd better do what he says because I, too, believe these next few years are going to be the years we make the best memories!" You stand up and shout, just realizing you're not the only people in the room.
"Thank you for your enthusiasm, Y/N! It's great to see some students respect my opinion." Mr. Sato smiles and rolls his eyes, turning towards the whiteboard. "Also to mention, since you'll no longer just be going to your first class, I am your homeroom teacher! I'll make sure we do fun activities every morning to get a nice stretch in your routine every morning."
"Even more fun." Freddie sarcastically says, slumping down into his chair.
You elbow his arm, and squint at him. "Could you try to be at least a little more considerate? He's honestly just trying to make freshman year more fun for us and not such a drag." You roll your eyes and look away from Freddie, as he is frustrating you, at the moment.
"Hey, look, I'm sorry, okay? It's just that school isn't fun to begin with, let alone cringey teachers."
"Just because he's a happy, jumpy teacher, doesn't mean he's a cringey one. Would you rather him to be gloomy and sad and always angry?"
Freddie stares at you, and opens his mouth to reply, but doesn't say anything.
"Exactly."•••
After English, it's a 10 minute break to eat snacks quickly, then head to your next class. Your thought is to immediately find Aiden, your little penguin friend from this morning, and give him a hug and talk.
"Hey! Where are you running off to so quickly?!" Freddie shouts to you as you run down the hall, trying not to be noticed by any teachers.
"To find a friend from this morning! I'll see you later, Freddie!" You dash down the hall and almost run into someone as you stop. "Sorry."
You speed-walk through the big crowds of people, hoping to find your friend before the sophomores do. You don't find him immediately, and assume he just hasn't reached the cafeteria yet, and get out your snacks, leaning against an empty table.
You hear little snickers from behind you and notice the same group of sophomores that bullied Aiden, behind you giggling. You roll your eyes and sigh, staring at the door and waiting for Aiden to walk in.
"If you think Aiden's gonna be here this break, you're wrong, long ears." The sophomore you bit into earlier shows up with his friends to the table you're leaning against, and he hovers right over you.
"I'd rather not have your stanky ass breathe in my face, thanks." You roll your eyes and try to push him away, but he stayed still.
"What did you just say?"
"I said, and I'll say it again loud and clear for you this time," you turn around and get up onto the table, turning back around to him, "YOUR BREATHE, SMELLS LIKE ASS." You kick him in the face, knocking him back into his friends like bowling pins. Before they can get to you, you jump off the table, and you run down the hall again, bumping into Aiden as you turn a corner.
"Aiden, hey! We should uh- get to the cafeteria through THIS door!" You nervously laugh and grab his hand, heading through a different door whilst sprinting.
"I wanted a drink!..." Aiden shouts and realizes he doesn't know your name. "I never got your name...?"
"Y/N."
"Right, thank you." He smiled for a split second before frowning again. "Why are we rushing into the cafeteria? And specifically through THIS door?!"
"I'm just gonna be straight up honest, I might have just pissed off that sophomore from this morning juuust a liiittle bit." You shrug your shoulders and get ready for Aiden to be angry.
"Just make sure he doesn't find you." He smiles and laughs. "I'll just go buy a waterbottle, wanna come with?"
"I'm gonna go get my snacks, but I'll be right back."
"Okay."
You walk over to the table and notice that the sophomores are waiting for you, standing around the snacks at the table, looking around for you.
"Shit." You whisper to yourself.
You slowly walk over and try to sneak in and out of the circle they're forming, but get caught on the inside.
"What do you think you're doing, long ears?" He looked straight into your eyes, smacking his hands down onto the table in front of you, blocking your exit to get away. "I think you need to be punished for kicking me in the face and biting my shoulder. Wild animals don't just get to say sorry." He picks you up by your armpits and chucks you onto the table, pinning your hands down with his.
"Get off me you fucking perv!" You kick his chest, and he flinches, but continues to hold you down while his friends stand around and watch, scaring anybody around them away.
"Oh, babydoll, no one's coming to save your ass today. I guess that penguin's too pussy to help, you should just drop him."
"Maybe we should fight fair and square, we'll see who FUCKING wins then!" You keep kicking at his chest, and try to go for his neck, but you can't kick high enough.
He laughs at your movements, and then grips your wrists hard, leaning in close to your ear, whispering, "Babes, this is fair and square. You kick and bite me, I get to do the same to you, but I'm nice enough to do otherwise." He bites your ear, and you whine in pain quietly to yourself. "I do like biting, though."
You growl at him. "So do I." You bite into his neck, sinking your teeth in a little, then letting go, tearing some of his skin.
He growls and falls down on the table beside you, letting go of your wrists. "You.. fucking bitch..!"
You jump up, and run towards your snacks just as an EA started to yell at you to get down off the table. You grab your snacks, then jump off the table where that boy is still laying on it in pain, just starting to bring himself back up.
"I'll get you next time, you little bitch."
"Suck it, pretty boy." You stick your tongue out at him before continuing to walk over to the EA.•••
"You're gonna need to follow me and sit in the office for the rest of your break. You can't just climb on tables." She rolls her eyes and starts walking to the office.
"I know, sorry, miss. I was fooling around with my.. "friend".. and my first instinct for some reason was just to stand up on the table and run away like that. I very much regret it, and I'm truly sorry." You make up an excuse to not get that boy in trouble because you didn't need nor want to get into more trouble and get more attention than before.
"I don't care if you regret it or not, you still did it, and you still need to sit in the office for it." She waited at the office door, and waited for me to open it and go in so she could leave and go back to the cafeteria.
"I never- oh, whatever." You walk into the office and sat down, waiting for break to be over, eating your snacks as you wait.
