You're a Monster, but I Love You (Vampire Knight)

chapter two

            The sun shined through the curtains, waking Ella up. She groaned, and rolled over, pulling her blanket over her head. She blinked in confusion.

Wait a minute. How the hell did I get here?

Ella sat up, throwing off the covers, eyes widening in fear. What’s going on? What happened last night? She held her head, everything from last night coming back. Ugh. My head. But Miyoko is a. . . vampire? Yes, she is. She saw everything that happened last night, the bite marks, and the fangs. She remembered the tears, and the fighting. But what she didn’t know was how she got back to her dorm. Ella had the feeling somebody picked her up, and took her back, but she didn’t know who it was.

She looked around and saw that Yuki and Yori were already up and had gone to their classes. She grabbed the clock off her nightstand and saw that classes were already almost halfway over. No use in going now. I’ll just tell the teacher tomorrow that I didn’t feel well. Ella lay back down, and soon, the dark blanket of sleep overcame her.

            The teacher dismissed everybody, and turned back to his desk. Yuki walked up to where Zero sat. She sighed, he was sleeping again. “Zero, come on. We have disciplinary committee duties! If we don’t get out there soon, the day class girls will go on a rampage. Wake up!” She was tired of him ignoring her, and decided to push him sideways. She lifted her hand up and was about to do so when a hand grabbed her wrist.

 “Don’t touch me,” Zero growled. He threw her wrist down and stood up. Yuki’s jaw hung open. He walked towards the door, but paused. “Now who’s the one holding us up? Come on, let’s go rescue those night class freaks.” With that, he continued on his way outside.

Yuki shook her head. “Boy, he’s irritated today, more than usual,” she muttered under her breath.  “H-hey! Zero wait up!” she called as she ran after him.

            Tch. Damn vampires. I hate this job. Zero looked at the mob of screaming fangirls, and sighed. Same old, same old. He scanned the crowd to see if a particular face was there that he so desperately wanted to see. Damn, she’s not here. Come to think of it, she wasn’t in class either. Maybe she stayed in her dorm today. I’ll go stop by later to see.

“Kyaaaa! It’s Kaname!”

“Squeeeee!! Idol!!!!” 

Zero whipped around and saw that the night class students were coming out. He turned back around, and yelled at the fangirls, “Get back in order and shut up or die!”

“Ahhh!” The screaming fangirls scrambled back into place. “Zero-kun, you’re so mean,” one said while pouting. “Yeah, you never let us have any fun.” Soon, all the fangirls were complaining about Zero.

 “I said shut-“ Zero was cut off by Kaname interrupting him. “Excuse me ladies, but could you please be quiet? I have a killer headache, and Aidou is trying to study.” At this, Kaname looked over at Hanabusa, who was waving and smiling at the girls screaming his name. “Aidou?” Hanabusa turned his head. “Yes, Kaname-sama?” “I thought you had a test to study for?” He tilted his head and gave him a cold smile. Hanabusa paled and started stuttering. “Uh, r-right, I forgot about that. Thanks for reminding me.” He opened his textbook, and walked swiftly away, reading as fast as he could.
