Blossomkit was looking out of the nursery to Honeypaw and Rainpaw earning their warrior names. "I can't wait to be them!" Jaykit mewed, his shadowy grey pelt looking light grey in the bright sunlight shining its way through the weaved branches and vines that Racoontail and Wildwolf worked hard on.

"I will be the best warrior in the whole forest!" Puddlekit meowed loudly, her puffy black fur making her look bigger than she actually was. The bright sunlight showed the hidden red tint in Puddlekit's fur. "Hush you mouse-brains! I'm trying to listen!" Blossomkit whispered annoyingly.

Jaykit shrank under his pelt in embarrasment.

Blossomkit missed some of the ceremony from her littermates bickering, but at least she heard their new warrior names, Honeyshine and Rainpelt. The new warriors had looked excited and nervous throughout the whole ceremony, Raintail had his tail moving around the whole time and Honeyshine had her paws shifting from place to place.

"Were you three good?" Dapplestep asked, Blossomkit, Jaykit, and Puddlekit's mother. "Y-yes!" Puddlekit meowed, wishing to get praised. Blossomkit just rolled her eyes. "Did you hear their new warrior names?" Rosesoot questioned, a queen that is almost a moon into her pregnancy.

"Yes." Blossomkit said. "Moonstar did a fine job with their names, since it is her first time doing a warrior ceremony." Rosesoot stated. Dapplestep nodded in agreement. "It's been a long time since we've had apprentices to be warriors." Dapplestep added. Blossomkit noticed how swollen Rosesoot's belly was.

"Are you three gonna be excited when you become apprentices?" Rosesoot mewed with a smile on her face. "Of course! Why wouldn't we be!" Puddlekit meowed. "Certainly you will." Dapplestep chimed in. Rosesoot acted as a second mother to Blossomkit and her littermates.

"What are you three most excited about being a warrior's apprentice soon." Rosesoot asked. "Being able to fight in battles!" Puddlekit replied, she liked the questions Rosesoot was giving them. "Hunting for the Clan." Jaykit responded. "Both!" Blossomkit replied. Rosesoot giggled.

Jaykit jumped a little when he saw a bump come out of Rosesoot's belly and come back in again. Rosesoot noticed that Jaykit was a little startled. "Don't worry, it's just my kits kicking, they're gonna be fine little warriors!" Rosesoot exclaimed. Dapplestep nodded in agreement.

"Do you want to feel them kicking?" Rosesoot asked. "Sure." Blossomkit mewed and she padded over to Rosesoot. Her littermates followed. Blossomkit lightly pressed a paw on Rosesoot's belly as did Puddlekit and Jaykit. "Woah!" Puddlekit said as she felt one of Rosesoot's kits kick her paw. Blossomkit and Jaykit purred with amusement. Jaykit's belly started to rumble.

"You three can go get something from the fresh-kill pile." Dapplestep said in a warming tone.

"Last one there is crow-food!" Puddlekit said while racing towards the fresh-kill pile. Blossomkit had a purr of amusement in her throat as she raced after Puddlekit.

Puddlekit of course got there first and picked out a plump mouse for them to share. Blossomkit was right behind her with Jaykit being last. "Haha! You're crow-food!" Puddlekit said with amusement.

"No fair! You two have longer legs!" Jaykit rasped. Puddlekit stuck her tongue out, mocking Jaykit and started gobbling the mouse. "Hey save some for me!" Blossomkit mewed.

After they finished the mouse Puddlekit's mouth was soaked with blood, she quickly licked it off and started to groom herself before going back in the nursery.

Blossomkit's attention turned to the new warriors, who were not allowed to speak until tomorrow since it was almost dusk. Blossomkit couldn't wait until tomorrow though! She wanted to talk to her friends right there and then.

She was about to go talk to Honeyshine and Rainpelt when she felt a gaze on her pelt. She looked around and didn't see anyone staring at her, until she looked in the bushes near the nursery and saw 2 bright amber eyes looking at her.

Blossomkit felt a shiver going down her spine and her fur flared up. Her teeth were back into a snarl as she stared at the bright amber eyes, and then they vanished. Blossomkit looked surprised. How could eyes just vanish?

She looked around the camp once more, another pair of amber eyes were staring at her, but a pair that she felt a little more comfortable with. Whitespark, ThunderClan's medicine cat was staring at her and flicked his puffy white tail. Blossomkit thought it was a sign to not talk to the new warriors. Blossomkit lowered her ears and tail and wobbled back to the nursery.
