Blossomkit slowly crept out of the nursery hoping to not get seen. Raccoontail was guarding the entrance so Blossomkit would have to sneak through the dirt place. She quickly but stealthily made it across camp to the dirt place tunnel.

Once she was out she saw Whitespark in the distance, it was now dawn. She quietly raced after Whitespark hoping Raccontail would not hear a second pair of paw steps.

She kept her distance from Whitespark since he would send her back to camp, she had to wait until they were closer to RiverClan territory than ThunderClan's camp. As she paced far from Whitespark, she could see leaves falling from the trees. It was the beginning of Leaf-fall. And Leaf-bare was creeping around the corner, waiting to strike.

The ground was hard and not soft underneath Blossomkit's paws. Not like it was soft a few moons ago when she jumped in a patch of earth with her littermates and Dapplestep cleaned them for what felt like moons.

Blossomkit was careful not to step on leaves that would crack under her paws, but it soon got to the point where it was hard not to step on a leaf.

Blossomkit froze as she knew a Whitespark heard it and turned around.

"Blossomkit! You followed me?!" Whitespark was furious. "Why are you out here?" "I wanted to go with you, like I said I'm tired of being cramped up in places and I also wanted to see what the forest was like." Blossomkit explained in a seemingly calm voice.

"RiverClan is going to question why I have a kit with me!" Whitespark yelled. "Sorry." Blossomkit mewed, barely audible. "Whatever." Whitespark sighed in defeat and let Blossomkit tag along with him.

They soon reached RiverClan's boarder which stunk with the scent of those fish-eaters. "Blegh!" Blossomkit exclaimed, she wasn't used to a smell this strong. "You wanted to come so I don't want to hear any complaining." Whitespark said in a harmful tone.

They kept walking until they reached RiverClan's camp. "What are those filthy ThunderClan cats doing here?" A sleek blueish grey tom spat. "We come in peace." Whitespark said in a calm tone. "We?" The tom said and looked behind Whitespark's fluffy fur to see Blossomkit, cowering behind him.

"You brought a kit?" The tom said with disgust. "She followed me." Whitespark said impatiently. "You let a kit follow you?" The tom laughed.

"Whitespark?" A thin silver tabby she-cat stepped in front of the annoying tom, forcing the tom to step back. A little tom stepped from behind the thin silver tabby. "Brindlebreeze, thank StarClan you're here!" Whitespark mewed, happy that he doesn't have to deal with the annoying tom for any longer.

Blossomkit stepped out from behind Whitespark. The little tom was white with brown tabby patches, his eyes resembled ice.

Brindlebreeze noticed that they were staring at each other. "This is my apprentice Jumpingpaw, you two can chat while Whitespark and I talk." Brindlebreeze proposed.

"I'm Blossomkit!" Blossomkit introduces herself. "Nice to meet you." Jumpingpaw said hesitatingly. "Whatever tales that are told to you about ThunderClan being mangy fur balls isn't true." Blossomkit said with pride. "Well neither is RiverClan." Jumpingpaw mewed.

"So, when are you gonna get your new name." Blossomkit asked. "Soon, Brindlebreeze said Ive earned it." Jumpingpaw said, prideful. "When are you gonna become an apprentice?" "Soon, I'm gonna learn all cool fighting technics and learn how to hunt!"  "You're not gonna be Whitespark's new apprentice?" Jumpingpaw asked.

"No? Why would you think that?" Blossomkit asked. "Well, isn't Littlepaw sick?" "How do you know that!" Blossomkit said surprised. "Medicine cats gather by the Moonpool every half moon, just like all the clans have a gathering every full moon." Jumpingpaw mentioned.

Brindlebreeze went to the medicine den and brought back a herb. "Here, hopefully this will help." Brindlebreeze said as she handed it to Whitespark. "Thank you." Whitespark uttered and signaled with his tail that it was time to go.

"It was nice meeting you Jumpingpaw!" Blossomkit said. "It was nice meeting you too!" Jumpingpaw returned.

Blossomkit felt happy, she made a new friend, but something about Jumpingpaw made her feel different but she couldn't put her paw on it.
