Chapter 9

Blossompaw woke up to hear howling outside. She worked up her ears to hear what was going on. She heard a familiar voice. "Where is she! Where are you hiding her!"

Dapplestep? Have they come for her?

Blossompaw raced out of the medicine cat den to see Dapplestep, Puddlepaw, Jaypaw, Greydust, and Sunspot.

"I'm right here!" Blossompaw screamed, and ran to them. "Did they hurt you? Cause if they did, I'll rip their pelts off!" Puddlepaw screeched the red tint in her black fur shining from the blazing sun. "They didn't, they actually took care of me." Blossompaw replied softly, remembering how Jumpingice curled up with her until she fell asleep.

"What is all the noise about?!" Reedstar called out storming out of his den. As soon as he saw ThunderClan cats he knew what was up. "D-Dapplestep?" Reedstar said surprised. Every ThunderClan cat looked at Dapplestep confused. How does he know Dapplestep?

"How do you know our mother?" Puddlekit asked, as if she was challenging him. "That's none of your business." Reedstar said calmly, he looked slightly shocked that Dapplestep had kits. "We will be leaving now." Sunspot stated as he walked into the direction of ThunderClan. Everyone followed him. Puddlepaw glared back at Reedstar. Blossompaw looked back to see if Jumpingice was there. He emerged from the den as if on cue and smiled at Blossompaw as she left.

"Did you have to eat fish?" Jaypaw asked, slowly walking to fall next to Blossompaw. "No, they let me hunt my own prey." Blossompaw remembered. "That was nice of them." Jaypaw mewed. "How does Reedstar know you?" Blossompaw heard Sunspot whisper to Dapplestep. Dapplestep didn't reply, as if she were hiding something.

"What were you thinking?!" Greydust finally blurred out when they were out of ear shot of RiverClan. "Running into the place we specifically tell you not to run off to!" Greydust was furious. "I saved Jumpingice!" Blossompaw retorted. "Who's that?" Puddlepaw questioned. "RiverClan's medicine cat apprentice, if I wasn't there at the right time he would have been prey for a hawk!" Blossompaw yelled.

Greydust shut his mouth after he learned Blossompaw saved someone. "Blossompaw's a hero!" Puddlepaw said amazed. "I wish I could have seen you!" Puddlepaw babbled. Jaypaw nodded. Blossompaw felt overly embarrassed of the attention she was getting from her littermates. Blossompaw saw the entrance to ThunderClan getting closer and closer.

"Did you find her?" Blossompaw heard Honeyshine ask Sunspot. Dapplestep and Sunspot stepped to the side to reveal Blossompaw. "Thank StarClan you're alright!" Honeyshine exclaimed. "I have to tell you something when we get the chance." Honeyshine whispered all giggly and bubbly like she normally was.

Blossompaw speed-walked into the camp, everyone greeting her. "After you greet everyone meet us at the entrance, we're gonna train." Greydust said as Blossompaw was getting drowned with welcome back's and thank StarClan you're alright! It was overwhelming for Blossompaw to receive this much attention.

Blossompaw went to the medicine den. "Thank StarClan you're back!" Blossompaw heard Littlepaw say. "Welcome back." Whitespark mewed. "Are you feeling better?" Blossompaw asked Littlepaw. "N-not really, but I still have hope that I'll be back to my normal self as soon as possible." Littlepaw mewed, her eyes were big pools of hope and faith.

Blossompaw wasn't so sure, she was worried for her friend, and she heard some warriors talking about Whitespark getting old and ThunderClan not having a medicine cat.

Blossompaw remembered that Honeyshine has something to tell her. Blossompaw excused herself and went to find Honeyshine. She was right outside the nursery. "What do you need to tell me?" Blossompaw asked. "I'm expecting Raintail's kits!" Honeyshine mewed happily. "Congratulations!" Blossompaw meowed.

"Blossompaw!" Greydust called. "Coming!" Blossompaw yelled back as she raced towards the entrance of camp.
