"Jiang Cheng, I know it's you, come out." Wei Wuxian said
Jiang Wanyin came out and started blabbering about how Wei Wuxian made his family worry, especially his Shijie.
"If it wasn't for maiden Wen, I bet you'd all be dead right now!"
Everyone turned around.
"Maiden Wen?" Wei Wuxian asked
"Yeah, she was the one who told me you guys were here." Jiang Wanyin said
We went out of the temple towards the village, where we saw Wen Liqing.
"Childe Jiang, didn't I tell you to take them and leave?" She said as the corpses came back to life.
"I don't think we should. You helped us, I think we should help you too." I said
"This is my family. It's my responsibility to protect them."
We heard the owl of Qishan Wen clan again, and my two brothers decided to go after it. Wei Wuxian used the same talisman to create another nest, and told me and Jiang Wanyin to strengthen it.
"B-but brother Wei, that thing breaks easily!" Now Huaisang whined. None of us even bothered him.
Later, the corpses regained their senses. I think my brothers have defeated the bird. The net broke eventually, but none of us minded since they were coming back to their senses. Grandma Wen and some of the others started apologizing, and lead us to the graves of their ancestors to pray. I stood with Nie Huaisang and Jiang Wanyin.
"Qin-jie!"
I turned, to see that my two brothers have come back.
"A-Xian what happened to your neck?" I asked, looking at the red mark on his neck.
"Not a big deal." He said, approaching Wen Liqing. "What is this place?" He asked.
"It's our ancestor's graves." She said.
We got going, and suddenly Nie Huaisang shushed ya all.
"Shh, look, it's a reed chicken!" He said
"Wow chicken, how did you know I hadn't have lunch yet?" Wei Wuxian said, smiling mischievously.
They persuaded Jiang Wanyin to help them easily, and they went to catch the chicken while the rest of us stood there quietly until Wei Wuxian came back.
"Maiden Wen," he started "I think you know. Somethings missing from the statue."
"No I did not" she answered.
"It's missing a piece of Stygian iron." He said, not minding her response.
Wen Liqing looked at him.
"The statue was only after Lanzhan. If it wasn't because of Lanzhan's piece of Stygian iron, there's only one possibility."
"And what is it?" Wen Liqing asked
"Then she must've liked Lanzhan!" He said, laughing as if it's he funniest thing on earth.
Jiang Wanyin and Nie Huaisang came back, amd started complaining about how Wei Wuxian left them. Lan Wangji glared at Wei Wuxian.
"I better get going back to Nevernight." Wen Liqing said
"You won't be staying?" Jiang Wanyin asked
"My brother's still at Nevernight. I'm afraid they'll do something bad to him." She said. Then she left.
