(Leevrias outfit ^^)

Drizzt walked in silence,these roads never seemed to change. People barely walked through and when they did they had no time to talk to or attack those they came across. But he had never came across a group such as this,most had little to no diversity in race,so what would a wizard,two men,two elves,a dwarf and four children be up to?

As he shadowed the group,his curiosity getting the best of him,he noticed the elves kept pausing and looking back,like they could sense his presence but not where he was.

The hair on the back of Leevria's neck kept standing on end. She glanced at her bother and knew he felt it too. Someone was following them. Leevria spoke briefly to Aragorn and nodded her head at Legolas. Then split off from the main body of the fellowship determined to find out who their mysterious company was.

She readied her bow,preparing for anything and set off,the hobbits muttering about what she was doing.

A figure,tall and clothed in a rangers cloak with the hood pulled low over his head. He was walking just far enough away from the companions to not be readily noticed. Leevria and Legolas stepped into the road with their bows half drawn...."Hello stranger", Legolas says, " care to tell us why you re following in our wake?" Leevria is stunned into silence as the stranger lifts his face and the first thing she notices if the stunning violet eyes starring at her and her brother from the dark visage of a drow warrior.

Legolas's bow snapped up and Leevria,once shaking herself out of the trance this drow had put her in, followed her brothers lead.
"I mean no harm" As he slowly raises his hands. "Then why follow us?" Legolas asked.

"I've been in these parts for a while. No group such as yours has passed through. Please,forgive my curiosity." By now,the rest of the fellowship had stopped to watch the encounter.

Aragorn stepped forward "What's going on?" He chuckled "Truly you are not holding a ranger at bow point." He turned and looked at the drow.

"Besides,I know this dark elf,and he is no mere ranger. How are you,my friend?" Leevria slowly lowered her bow,not nearly as hesitant as Legolas. "Drizzt,this is Legolas and Leevria of the woodland realm. Gimli,Son of Gloin. Boromir,Son of Denethor. Gandalf the Gray,and our hobbits Merry,Pippin,Sam and Frodo."

Each hobbit waved enthusiastically, happy to not be walking anymore "This is Drizzt Do'urden,one of the best swordsman I've ever known"

Legolas stepped in front of Leevria "Have you gone mad Aragorn?" He gestured towards Drizzt "We cannot trust them." Aragorn smiled "Drizzt is not them. I can promise that" Legolas started at him, disbelief showing on elven features.

"Legolas,we may not be able to trust the drow,but we can trust Aragorn." Leevria said, leading Legolas away from the two rangers.

As Drizzt and Aragorn continue to speak. Sam, Merry and Pippin decide that now is lunch time while Frodo leans against a tree,fiddling with his ring. Sam leaves to trail to a flat spot under the trees and begins to make a fire. As he is starting the makings of a fine stew Aragorn walks up with Drizzt. "Sam," Aragorn asks,"will there be enough for our new friend?"
"Sure, Strider," says Sam, "I will just add a few more potatoes."
Legolas and Leevria join the company and motion Aragorn to the side. "Surely we are not asking a drow to dinner?" demands Legolas.

"If you would only see past his race. He's not like the others." Aragorn chided. Legolas shook his head "There is no such thing as a good drow. It-it's unheard of"

"I was raised by elves Legolas,I thought the same thing. But I can promise you, he's different." Legolas sighed and looked to his sister,who seemed to be more interested in watching Drizzt than the conversation at hand.

"Leevria!" Legolas scolded,elbowing the younger elf in the ribs. "He's done nothing to us,even as we held him at bow point" She said,shrugging. "I don't like it either. But if he truly is as skilled as Aragorn says,he wouldn't hurt the fellowship."

Legolas clenched his jaw. "Fine. But the moment he gives me a reason to do so,my arrow will be embedded in his chest."

~~~
"Leave him be Legolas,you're making him uncomfortable." Leevria said,nudging Legolas's leg with her own. "I'm not doing anything" He replied. Leevria rolled her eyes. "You're staring at the dark elf as if he might grow another head." Legolas didn't say anything,deciding instead to focus on the trees.
The air started to chill as the sun began it nightly journey beyond the horizon. The fellowship started to help the hobbits with their bedrolls.
"You should stay" Aragorn told Drizzt,pipe resting on his lips. "Pardon?" The drow asked. "I said you should stay. We would benefit from skills such as your own" Drizzt chuckled bitterly.
"I'm not welcome here Aragorn. Your friends don't approve of me"
"The hobbits would love your stories." Aragorn pointed out.
"Many people would love my stories if they were not told by a dark elf"
Drizzt looked down,hands resting on the hilt on his weapons. "If I did join your fellowship,the minute I made a mistake there would be an arrow in my heart." Aragorn sighed.
"Legolas and Leevria aren't bad people. They were raised a certain way,taught certain things. They would get used to you,maybe even become friends with you." Drizzt laughed. "Surface elves and Drow becoming friends? Aragorn,do you hear yourself?"
Drizzt looked over at the siblings "It sounds like something out of a fairytale." Aragorn clasped Drizzts shoulder in his palm. "I won't make you do anything you don't want. But you have a right mind to think it over,for an old friend"
Aragorn walked off.
Drizzt made his way to a rock and sat down. Looking over the strange companions he ran a hand through his hair,pondering Aragorn's words. He had nothing to lose,and maybe the light elves would learn to accept him,not matter how much like a fairytale it sounded.
Muttering to himself,he rolled up in his cloak.
A wizard,two men,two elves,one dwarf,four hobbits,and now,a dark elf.
The Fellowship of the Ring.
