Drizzt groaned as he awoke, a sharp pain shooting through his stomach, causing him to lay his head back down.
He looked over, seeing Leevria with her head resting near his shoulder, holding onto his hand and arm in a steel-like grip.

He furrowed his eyebrows, remembering the events of the raid.
Reaching out his hand, he traced the shape of her ear. She sharply inhaled through her nose, pulling away from his touch. He smiled and watched as she began to wake up, tired eyes accessed the room she was in before landing on him.

"Drizzt?" Her voice didn't sound alarmed, instead sounded like they had just woken up from a normal night. Until her eyes traveled to the bandages wrapped around his abdomen and she to seemed to remember what had happened hours before.

"Oh, Drizzt" She stood and reached for his face, whispering something in elvish. He smiled again, trying to sit up.

Leevria grabbed his sides as he hissed in pain "Careful" She muttered.

Once his back rested firmly against the head of the bed, he noticed the tears welling in her eyes, reaching his arm out
"Come here, love"
She fell into him, tucking her head under his chin and resting her hand over his heartbeat.

He put his hand over hers, kissing the top of her head "Leevria, you're trembling"

Pulling away, he ran his fingers through her hair "Did you really think I'd died?"
She laughed tearfully, wiping her face and nodding "I'm sorry. I-I've been a mess"

He shook his head "Don't apologize, I would have been the same if it'd been you"

The two sat together for a moment before Drizzt began to cough into his elbow.
Leevria reached for the water Thalia had brought her and brought it to his lips.

"Good gods, how long I was unconscious?" She almost answered until Thranduils' voice came from the doorway "A day. Not once did she leave your side"

Drizzt looked over Leevrias shoulder, putting his arm in front of her as Thranduil walked closer.

"How are you feeling, Drizzt?"

Leevria watched Drizzt draw back in shock before he answered. "Fine. Or-or better, I guess"

Thranduil nodded "That's...good."

Seconds that felt like hours passed by until Thranduil spoke again "It has been brought to my attention, by my daughter" he paused, gesturing towards Leevria "that I was wrong about you."

"And it seems I owe you an apology" He nodded, walking back out of the room with his robes behind him.

Drizzt laughed "It's a start"

Days later, Myre had finally allowed Drizzt off of bed rest.

"Walk with me" Leevria said, the sleeves of her dress moving around as she reached for him. "Leevria, I don't-

"Trust me"

He looked at her before hesitantly slipping his hand
into hers, she smiled and pulled him along, first taking him through where the guards where.
