(Mr.Brightside-)
Reiko and Ryuko walked into the elevator wearing their bathing suits. Reiko was surprised she never noticed the large tattoo on Ryuko's body. Her sister-in-law was wearing black, backless one piece with shorts so there was no way to cover it up. It was a dragon tattoo on her back.
Did Ryuko wear a dress with a back? She didn't remember anymore. Truth be told, she wasn't paying attention during the wedding.
"You have a tattoo?"
"Oh, um... yeah. You didnt know?"
"I- no."
Most of the elevator ride was in silence. It was only five floors luckily. Reiko's mind began to wander though. Did Ryuko know about Shinya's job? She was unsure. Especially since Ryuko definitely saw Shinya and that Tamaki kid talking. She had a good image of him in her head and she was a thousand times sure he was a vampire. So maybe she'd have to make a doll of him.
"Do you ever go along with Shinya? I'm curious how your 'magic' works." Ryuko asked. Her voice was very soft and caring.
"It's not magic. It's voodoo."
"Oh. I'm sorry, did I offend you?" She was trying her best to be nice to Reiko.
"N-no... I just make the doll look like someone, dress them up, and name them after the person. Then I poke them with needles and do whatever the S.U.Ns tell me to do."
"Do you have a doll of me?" She asked. Reiko pursed her lips. Maybe she had? She had thousands of dolls, many that looked like people who had already died. She had to throw the dead ones away...
"N-no." She lowered her voice even more. She didn't know if she had made a doll of her in jealousy or not.
"Well that's good! This is our floor." She said and pointed at the number. It said 1 meaning lobby. Obviously.
The two walked out to the pool. Reiko checked the depth of the pool and grumbled. It wasn't deep enough for her to dive into but it had a diving board? She could smell the dumbassery in this.
Reiko got in herself and was too short to even have her head above the water. Her eye and the top of her head was visible. If Hitoshi were there, he'd laugh and pick her up so she was safe. But he'd make sure it was obvious that he found it funny first.
Ryuko stuck by the shallow end. Reiko knew she couldn't swim so she was kinda confused when she asked. Reiko came along because 1. Ryuko was kinda scared of being alone. 2. She couldn't swim. Like, couldn't swim at all. If she couldn't stand she wouldn't go in.
Reiko noticed how Shinya would call Ryuko 'Koko'. She just started thinking of it. Her mind wandered when she wasn't focused on something. ... Koko was her nickname. Now she was referred to as 'Rei' or 'Reiko'. Ryuko could've gone by 'Ryu'.
Jealousy... (Mr.Brightside 👀.)
Her friend Setsuna would call Shinya a 'simp'. Reiko didn't know what it meant but she found it funny. Monoma would laugh at the thought of her getting jealous of a grown woman, even though it wasn't that funny, then Kendou would hit him. She had so much schoolwork to catch up on because she was staying another few days. Random thought, she knew it.
She flipped on her back and floated through the water. She preferred doing this at home because she knew kids hadn't peed in it, but she would just wash her hair. And deep clean her face and body.
--------
(Me regretting a bunch of things-)
"Wait so like you can turn into a bat?" (Jesus this was a big no no for a moment.)
"No."
"I thought that was a thing."
"I- I'm technically vegan-"
"Wait, What?"
How the hell does vegan and turning into a bat add up? Oh did that mean what she thought it meant?
"I've never had... blood before." He said. Fuck it, she was already gullible, she believed every word he said. So that meant she wasn't really in danger when they went out. Her nerves had actually calmed down just from hearing that.
(Lmao I had an idea y'all might not like-)
"I gotta go." Nejire said. Her mom had called her down for lunch.
Like a suburban family in America, Nejire and her parents sat down. No phones were allowed at the table. Nejire thanked her mom before eating. She wasn't sad anymore so the meal was quite unnecessary now.
---------
(I deadass forgot about Nejire being in ballet-)"How are you so wealthy? Aren't you a ballet teacher?" Reiko asked. She was curious. Ryuko lived in a pretty nice place and she knew Ballet lessons did not pay that much.
Ryuko looked saddened by her question. Her head sank down a bit and she thinned her lips before speaking.
"T-That's very personal..."
"Sorry."
Getting inside of the elevator, Ryuko made sure they were alone before explaining.
"My parents did a few illegal things... before my brother and I cut them off, we didn't really know where it came from, so we accepted it. Shinya already knows." Ryuko explained. She wrapped the towel around her body a bit tighter.
"Ah. Do you feel bad for using it?"
"Of course! I- let's not talk about this anymore..." she said. Reiko respected her because Ryuko was trying to be her friend and she found it nice. She probably just made her very uncomfortable.
When they went their separate ways, Reiko dried off and showered before finding the doll and brown yarn. She usually used her brush to comb out the yarn to give it the straight hair that the person she disliked had.
This project would take a few hours so at least she didn't have schoolwork to distract her. She had to make sure it looked exactly like the person or some poor soul would have her body poked like a watermelon. Wait did they poke watermelons or something else?
Whatever. This girl... it wouldn't even be hard.
This was gonna be fun.
(Ommggg i wanna give Reiko a costume and I thought of a witch concept that I'm in love with. Lol I'm finna have fun with Reiko's character-
I'm putting this on pause so I can get more ideas so I don't have another twenty chapters of Reiko and Ryushot because that's boring. If you have an idea, tell me and I'll try and see if it works out. I'm uncreative and wanna write Ryushot so ✌🏽😚.)
