Summary: uhhhhhh
[UNEDITED] I really wanted to get this published
~-"Stars have always been so fascinating to me, they're so beautiful but so deadly at the same time." You gazed at the blazing fireballs in the sky and heard your friend, your crush, Bill Denbrough, chuckle from his spot next to you.
"Wuh-when I was younger, I used to think stars were as small a-as fairies, and that if you could get high enough, then you could capture one." He smiled when he saw your lips curve into a little grin.
"What would you do then huh? If the stars were to be fairies, why would you want to take one?"
"To keep i-it in a jar and make it d-do my bidding." He smirked. You laughed.
"That's such a Richie thing to do Bill." You snorted softly and reached up to cover your nose.
"D-Don't compare me to him Y/N." He rolled his eyes playfully and sighed. "In all honesty, I would never do something like that. Maybe richie would, but I wouldn't." He looked up towards the sky and tapped his fingers against the shingles underneath them. "I feel like if fairies were real and you just so happened to catch one, they'd tell you something only you can know. Like, something you never knew before or something about your future or past mistakes..." He zoned out for a second before continuing, "Or they'd tell you something about someone else without saying who."
You took a glance at him as your eyebrows rose up in surprise at his detailed thought. He hadn't stuttered, which was a common thing when he was around you, and he looked pretty serious about everything he said.
"That's a really cool idea Bill, I really like the last part." He looked over at you. "They can tell you something about someone else without specifying who they are..."
"Yeah, but you can't choose what you want to hear, which is a downside to it. They get to choose what they want to tell you." His eyes moved back up towards the sky again.
"You could write a book about this." You offered and he smiled.
"Maybe." He didn't take his eyes off the sky.
You decided to use this time to admire how he looked underneath the soft glow of the moon.
His face was slightly illuminated, making it look like it was glowing softly. His burgundy straight hair blew to the side of his face and covered his eye a bit, you wanted to push it away for him so bad. Speaking of his eyes, they were seemingly sparkling just like his face. The light reflected off of them and made this glossy looking exterior over his irises.
Bill looked at you which forced you to turn away from him for a second. You looked back when he looked away again.
His pinkish-red lips looked soft and wet, like he was wearing lip gloss or a few layers of chapstick. That wasn't uncommon for Bill though, he was always smearing some on his mouth whenever he felt the need to, which was quite often actually.
Once you were finished eyeing him up you sighed and looked out at all the houses in front of the both of you. The top of Bills house was pretty high up so you had to be careful whenever you came up there.
"A-are you okay?" Bill asked timidly when he heard your sigh, you only nodded in response. You then felt his hand on top of yours. It was soft and slightly rough in a way, but still comforting. "Y-you don't l-look okay."
He was right about that. Your feelings were all over the place right now and you wanted to tell him how you felt towards him but you were too scared of the possibility of rejection. Your heart was pounding against your rib cage as bill slowly took your hand in his.
"Yeah I'm fine...just thinking about stuff...." Being fourteen and in love with your best friend kinda sucks.
"D-do you want to t-talk about it? You know I won't judge you f-for anything Y/N." He squeezed your hand reassuringly and scooted a little closer to you.
You looked at him before snickering and turning you face away from him. "It's stupid."
"Nothing that's bothering you like this is stupid Y/N, p-please tell me so you can at least get it out." He intertwined your fingers and you slowly turned your head back. He smiled and waited for you to speak again.
You sighed and moved your eyes down to your lap as you spoke, "Well I u-um think I like someone.." You swallowed and continued, "M-maybe even l-love them..and I've been struggling with with telling them for a r-really long time."
Bills eyebrows raised slightly and he stared you down for a second. "Do...you think they like you back?"
"I don't know." You frowned and moved your other hand to your knee, squeezing it anxiously. "That's why I'm scared to tell them."
"You never know until you try." He muttered, "What if they get with someone else before you get the chance to tell them...they'll never get to know how you really feel about the-"
"It's you." You spoke softly and you felt Bill tense a little.
"Wuh-what?" His stutter came back.
"It's you Bill...I-I like you.." You stuttered too.
He was at a loss for words, his eyes darting from you to your hands, the roof...He was unsure how to deal with something this, no one has ever liked him like that before.
"Y-you don't have to say anything.." you looked at him. "I u-understand if you don't like me back I just...I don't k-know.."
Your eyes began to water, he wasn't saying anything. Just looking at you with his mouth parted slightly.
"At least tell me you don't-" before you could finish your sentence, Bill cupped both of your cheeks in his hand and kissed you gently. You were definitely shocked by this action, but quickly took note of what was happening and kissed him back.
Once you two pulled away Bill rested his forehead against yours and laughed.
"I love you too." He moved his hands down to your waist and pulled you into a hug, "so much."
It was your turn to laugh, your tears fading and all your feelings replaced with pure love for the boy holding you.
"You have no idea how nice it feels to hear you say that..." you wrapped your arms around his neck and nuzzled closer to him.
Bill slowly pulled away from the hug after a while, and sighed. "It's getting cold...we should head inside soon." You nodded in agreement and he grabbed your hand, leading you back through his bedroom window.
You two fell asleep shortly after, crawling into his bed and holding each other close the rest of the night.

Bonus:
-27 years later Bill published a book titled; 'Starry Communication' on the back of it, the authors note with his picture said; I got this idea laying in bed one day. I remember dreaming about this pretty girl telling me to write a book about stars being able to talk and whatnot. So of course I listened and published an entire seven hundred paged novel on it.
-Word Count: 1250
