'Jameela are you alright?' Fatimah asked in concern.
'Fati. You won't believe it, Jammal is getting married.'
'Yeah I know'
'You know?' Jameela gritted
'Yes Anas had inform me already.' Fatimah replied.
'When was that? and why don't you inform me?'.
'Actually I don't know how to break the news to you without hurting you. Am sorry girl I should have tell you but I don't wanna hurt you.'
'Alright apology accepted.'
'How do you feel now?, hope you're getting over him?' Fatimah asked worriedly.
'I don't know, but am trying to get over him.' Jameela answered sincerely
'With time you will recover fully, time they say is the healer of all wounds. With time you will forget about him'.
'I really hope so.'
'So will you attend the Nikkah? Fatimah asked scanning her face to see her reaction.
Jameela shrugged her shoulders. 'Do I have a choice when am considered as part of his family'.
'Yeah, that true, so how are you preparing for the forthcoming exam?'. Fatimah said changing the topic.
'Am revising the past questions, but I still needs help on mathematics. You know I have challenges in math.'
'Good, you can come over to my place, my elder brother will tutor us.
'Alright expect me on saturday'.

On Saturday morning Jameela dressed up in a yellow shirt with white strip over a blue jeans and a pair of tennis shoe. Then she put on her a white hijab that goes below her waist.
She stepped out and met Jammal talking with his friend Habeeb. She says her teslim and pass by. She didn't take two steps before Jammal called her back.
'Walaykum salam and where are you going?'
'Am going to Fatimah's house'
'Is that why you dressed half naked?'
Jameela gasp and scan herself again checking where she goes wrong.
'Jameela you're growing into a lady. You need to observe the proper dressing of a muslimah, start dressing with modesty.' Jammal admonished.
'Yes that true, Allah says in the Qur'an. Oh Prophet! tell your wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garment over their persons (when abroad): this is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is often-forgiving, most merciful. Q33 vs 59 Habeeb shirped in.
'Really!' Jameela mumbled.
'Go change thoes clothes now Habeeb ordered her.'
Jameela went back inside and returned some minutes later in white top and long black skirt and white hijab that reaches her waist.
'Better but I would get you something that is more better than this Jammal says.
Jammal whispered something into Habeeb's ear. And Habeeb ordered her to get into the car.
'What?' Jameela replied numbly.
'Yeah get in we are going out'.
'But I have something important to do at Fatimah house.....'
'Never mind you will still meet up with it. We won't take long Jammal says while opening the back seat door for her. She sat stiffly and listening to the men's conversation.
'How about the Nikkah preparation?'
'My parents are seeing to it.'
'When is would she arrive?'
'Next week insha Allah.'
'So you've settled everything?'
'Not really but I will try to let her know.'
'Alright, but do be careful buddy.'
'What the hell are they talking about? All I know is there is a hint of sadness in Jammal's voice. Anyway who cares am getting over him. Jameela says to herself and rolled her eyes sarcastically.

They arrived at Yaba market .
'Wow! what a big market this is the second time she would visit this market, the first time she was when she was twelve years old. She came with her mother to purchase some new clothes.
Here she is again to purchase what is not yet known to her. She marvel at how big the market is, and stare at the beautiful clothes displayed at different shops.
Habeeb hold her hand and they proceed to a shop with beautiful clothing and textile materials.
'Welcome customer, chose your choice the shop owner says showing them different clothing materials.
Jammal took five plain hijab materials and paid for it.
'Can we get an instant tailor?'
'Yes go to that shop with brown gate the shop owner says pointing toward a chain of shops.
They thank him and walk toward the shop.
The tailor welcome them and offered them seat.
Jammal and Habeeb took their seat while the tailor measure Jameela. Two hours later the kimar materials are transfered into jilibab, ready to be worn.
Jameela but on one and examined herself in the mirror.
Wow maa sha Allah! Jammal exclaimed but she felt the clothes look ridiculous.
'I can't wear this now, see how I look in it'. Jameela said sarcastically.
'Of course you can this is what Allah ordered the believing women to wear.' Jammal said with a laugh
'Or aren't you a believing woman?' Habeeb teased
'I am but....'
'No but. The prophet (SAW) said Muslim woman should conceal their adornment. A muslimah beauty is meant for her husband.
'But am not married yet' Jameela mumbled
'Yeah that more reasons why you need to conceal your beauty from prey eye of men, only your mahram and female like you should see you without Jilibab. Jammal said
'But it is too tick and heavy' Jameela protest.
'Yes it is one of the characteristic of hijab. Hijab should be thick enough so as not to show the color of the skin it covers, or the shape of the body which it is supposed to hide. And it must be losse enough so as not to describe the shape of a woman's body. The prophet (SAW) said once he received a thick garment as a gift. He gave it to Usaman Ibn Zayd, who in turn gave it to his wife. When asked by the prophet why he didn't wear it, Usman indicated that he gave it to his wife. The prophet (SAW) said to Usman, "ask her to use a ghulalah under it for I fear that it may describe the size of her bones. So one of the prove that a woman clothe shouldn't be transparent so add not to show her shape."
'Really' Jameela says with a round face.
'Yes, Hijab must cover the whole body except for the areas specifically exempted the face and hands. It shouldn't be such that attracts men's attention to the woman's beauty. The Quran clearly prescribes the requirements of woman's dress for the purpose of conceling adornment.' Habeeb supplied.
'Would I be able to implement this?'.
'May Allaah guide you and make it easy for you to implement.' Jammal prayed.
'Aameen she murmured. But I won't be allow to wear this to school.'
'Fine you can always wear it when you get home. You wear long sleeve shirt and long pinafore with white socks and white hijab to school right?'
'Yes'
Manage it for the remaining two years you will use in secondary school. Once you're through with your SS3 then you will be free to wear the proper hijab. Jammal said
'That means you have to focus on your studies so as to pass out with good grades. When you enter higher institution you will see young Muslimah like you putting on kimar'. Habeeb chirped in.
'Really'
'Yes'
Jameela surrendered and put on the Kimar but wasn't please with how people stare at her.

Back in the car, Jammal and Habeeb keep talking about her as if she isn't there.
'Am sure Jameela would grow up into a submissive wife some day'. Jammal says
'Yes because she is quick in carrying out the commandment of her Lord. And that one of the way to know a submissive wife, a man that marries my sister should count himself lucky. ' Habeeb said.
'Would I really make a good wife in future? And would I found a good man like Jammal?. Jameela thought to herself.
