The Heartbreak

chapter 10- Just the two of them.

Aiden
It's been half an hour since Stella and Aiden had started driving towards Aiden's house. But more than anything he was thinking about what he would say when Matthew asked him about what was going on.

He knew he wouldn't be able to hide it from either Matthew or Maria because they both can see through him. But he didnt care what they would say. He had to help Stella.

After the long silence Aiden pulled up near a hotel and said," You should probably get something into that stomach."

Stella nods her head and follows him inside. Aiden pulls out a chair for her and then takes his own seat.

"How gentlemanly of you.", she says.

He chuckles and orders food.

"So I was thinking, if you wanted to stay with me or some other house." Aiden asked, hoping she would stay with him.

"What do you mean?" Stella asked.

"I told you I had different houses but I think it will be better if there is someone with you during this point of your life. You are undergoing a very big change in your life and I suppose as a doctor, I know you haven't surpassed the phase of trauma. During such a period you should have someone take care of you. And as you won't let me call Matthew, I thought it would be preferable for me to stay as I'm a doctor and can help you with it." Aiden blabbed, hoping to make something out of it.

"Umm... I don't know, but you're the doctor and I don't think I can go against you at the movement, so... I will follow your lead." She said.

Aiden did a happy dance inside his heart when he heard those words. He hadn't thought he would be able to talk her into it.

"So, I think we have to set down some ground rules for this." Stella said.

"I think so too." Aiden said.

"So the first and the most important, Matthew CAN NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS."

"I don't agree. He will get to know about it eventually. I think you should tell him, sooner rather than later."

"I need sometime to accept it and if he knows then there is no point in staying in your house, is there?"

That was a good point so Aiden thought to change the subject.

"Okay. But an important thing to be kept in mind. I'm a neat freak so, you have to keep the house clean. You can not just litter around." And by this, he was serious. He was a neat freak and didn't like any mess. Being a doctor had its effects.

Stella groans and says," I hate neat freaks but as you're helping me I'll keep that in mind. So coming back to the rules, do you have any other requirements?"

"No,...not at the moment, but we can modify it with time."

They had their food in peace and headed back to Aiden's place.

The house was not as simple as she thought it would be. It was more of a huge bungalow than a normal flat Aiden had told Stella about. And now they had to stay together there, just the two of them.

What had Stella gotten herself into?
