It couldn't have been more than two hours into our journey before I felt my legs give out from under me.

I could barely move as Mingi and Yunho caught me, black spots appearing at the edges of my vision like an evil reminder of my weakness.

"What's wrong, y/n?" Mingi asked, squeezing my shoulder slightly as he searched my dazed eyes for any kind of answer.

I winced, furrowing my eyebrows as I tried my best to focus on his face, but everything seemed foggy and unfocused.

"Are you hurt?" Mingi continued, looking even more troubled by the second as I still couldn't figure out an answer to give him.

I shook my head, taking a shaky step forward as I tried to push them away.

"y/n," Yunho said, making me turn back around.

His voice sounded far away, like he was speaking through a layer of water, but his blue eyes were clear and filled with worry.

The others turned around as well, noticing that the three of us had come to a halt.

"When did you last sleep?" I barely registered Yunho's question, focusing on his lips instead, watching them as they moved.

They looked soft, and memories of the ice cavern in District 8 suddenly washed over me; the kiss, the warmt, those striking blue eyes.

No, I thought, shaking my head which only made me lose my balance again, falling back into Mingi's arms.

Now that Yunho mentioned it, I couldn't remember the last time I had slept, or at as much as taken a nap.

I mumbled something, but I wasn't even sure what I wanted to say.

I could feel Mingi crouching down beside me. "Come on," he said, huffing a he motioned for me to get on.

I didn't hesitate for a single second before crawling onto his back.

Yunho was about to protest, but Mingi sent him a single glare, his purple eyes flashing brightly, daring him to let out as much as a single comment.

He hoisted me up, securing my legs around his waist.

I draped my arms over his shoulder as well, locking them around his neck as he began walking again, taking the lead as the others stared after us.

It was nice and cool in the cold desert night, and I caught glimpses of the beautiful landscapes every now and then as I struggled to keep my eyes open, only for them to fall hut again only moments later.

The two moons, one big and one small, one white and one crimson red, were glowing proudly on the night sky.

The smaller one, despite its size, letting the deep red colour almost overpower the bigger one's.

It reminded me of my family, watching the crimson moon on the sky, admiring its colour before a yawn broke my concentration once again.

The silence that had hung in the air between the group was broken by Mingi's deep voice. He turned his head to look at me, though it proved more difficult than he had apparently imagined.

"You can sleep a little, y/n. It's okay to take a break. Just let me take care of you for a while."

I didn't want to admit to my exhaustion, though Mingi definitely had a point. I could barely keep my eyes open anymore and decided to give in to his words.

Nuzzling my face into the side of his neck, I finally closed my eyes completely, smiling slightly as I breathed in his scent.

He smelled like air on a breezy spring morning, new memories, and the pale sun shining above the vast fields of Avalon as they moved in the wind.
