Naruto x Kakashi love story

Chapter 4

Kakashi POV

Reassuring Naruto I wait anxiously for him to tell what's wrong since this morning He's been usually quiet.

Watching him talk to the Hokage was with respect and reasoning was a shock, I know Naruto isn't stupid he can outrun the ANBU and paint the Hokage mountains in bord daylight without being seen.

I've watched over him since he was a child, I can't do anything else for him with the council putting restrictions on me and anyone who knows that Naruto is Sensei's son. Being able to be his sensei is a relief I want to make up for not being there when he needed me, I never thought I would pass a Genin team, not after so many failed attempts. 

Watching Naruto debate with himself, I was hurt when he wouldn't tell what was wrong, there was a relief when he called me back. I know I shouldn't care as much as I do for Naruto but I can't help it I know that how I feel may be wrong to others but they just don't understand I can't help it, people don't know that the Hatake clan are descendants of shapeshifting wolves, it is a clan secret with me being the last Hatake clan member I am the only one who knows this I remember my father telling me about our family line.

FLASHBACK

My dad wanted to talk to me the night before I graduate from the academy, after dinner, we sit down at the table my dad placing me beside him, before focusing on me.

"Usually I wouldn't tell you this till you were older but because of the possibilities of war growing and you graduating the academy early I need to make sure you know this," My dad says looking stressed but serious

"What is it dad," I say feeling nerves fill my stomach at his firm tone

"The history of our family a secret that only the Hatake clan know, it is said that hundreds of years ago we were descended from wolves, the story says that one of our ancestors were out hunting when they heard the painful cries of a wolf, rushing towards the sound the man came across a female wolf that had slashes over her body and was bleeding to death.

 The Hatake clan have always had wolves as our spirit animal so when he saw the wounded wolf he rushed to try and save her but as he was looking for more injuries she let out a loud howl looking into her eyes he knew she wouldn't make it the damage was too great and they didn't know how to save her, but he could try anyway,

Wrapping the clothes he wore around her wound to at slow the bleeding he didn't know what else to do except take her back to his village and hope someone could help as he moved slowly to pick her up she let out more painful whimpers knowing that he had little time he tried to ignore her cries. 

Running as fast as he can before he finally arrived at his village covered in blood and carrying a large wolf, running to the village healers he begged them to save her after hours of work they were able to stabilize her but while they were working on her they realized that she was pregnant because of the extent of the damage she sustained they weren't sure the pups would survive, the man had rushed to stand by her side gently petting her head, he prayed that she and her pups would make it.

 A loud perching howl rang through the village it seemed as if time stopped before the screaming began, running out to see what was happening the female wolf let out an answering howl the man although worried for the wolf the terror of something happening to his family and village made him run out towards the screams, seeing his wife getting trampled by the screaming villagers he ran towards her pushing everyone that came his way, he only had one goal to save his wife, as he reached her the village had gone silent leaving only a grief-stricken man and his wife.
