I was really clueless about everything that's happening right now. I wasn't aware of the reason of his presence here. Besides, why is he acting like this?

His brows were knitted in a frown, scowling. I released exasperated sighs.

"Why were you there, Matthew?"

His gaze was fixed in front. He clenched his jaw.

"Yeah, right. Talk to your hand, Andrea." I talked to myself. I crinkled my nose and turned my face away.

"Let's not talk, you're drunk." He pressed his lips together.

"Huh!" I mocked. "I am absolutely sober! You'll just answer my question. Hello? You'll barge in coming from nowhere then you'll get me out of there? I am having fun, Matthew!"

He slowly stopped the machine and faced me. His dark hooded eyes bore into my frustrated being.

I raised my brow and crossed my arms. Okay, I'm being a bitch right now. But I'm not sorry for it.

"Why were you there?" I repeated my question earlier.

This was supposed to be a free night of mine. I don't usually have fun and enjoy my life but I did tonight and he just interposed, stopping me. I wanted to relax, to forget my problems at least tonight.

He sighed and bit his lips, "I told you to not hesitate approaching me whenever you need a hand, right?"

I didn't answer. I only stared at him.

"Why were you there?" He returned my question. His lips were in a thin line and his eyes narrowed.

"Why do you care?" I shot back.

"I didn't force you to release your worries to me. But seeing you there... having fun and entertained with a stranger's company..." He trailed off.

His jaw clenched and looked away. I furrowed my eyebrows. An expression I can't identify clouded his features.

"What do you mean?"

He tilted his head and slammed his eyes shut. He shook his head.

"Never mind. I'll take you home." He said and started the engine.

"I don't get it, Matthew." I said and glanced upwards. I noticed him muttering words I cannot hear.

"Why were you there in the first place?" I added.

"My cousin's birthday celebration was there."

I slowly nodded and pouted, "And you saw me?"

His jaw tightened.

"Yes. I saw you."

I gulped and nibbled my lower lip. I took away my gaze at him. I looked down and played with my fingers.

I didn't talk throughout the drive, he didn't talk too. We were just silent. I could almost hear the crickets' noise. I hushed my breathing because it was all we can hear.

The car stopped when we arrived. I didn't move. He didn't move either.

I cleared my throat, "I only drank a little."

He sighed but remained silent. I looked at him.

"I... uh... only danced a little, too." I drummed my fingers on my thighs.

He licked his lips and welcomed my gaze. He nodded and kept an eye contact.

"You don't have to tell me that. You..." he paused, "don't have to force yourself."

I was taken aback by what he said. I didn't have the chance to reply since he moved closer to me. Our nose almost touched. He placed his hands on my seat and unbuckled my seatbelts.

I sighed heavily when I noticed his dismissing act. I got off of his car and went inside the house without giving him a glance.

What's his problem, really?

I tore off my clothes and took a half bath. I was thinking and interpreting his actions the whole time I was inside the comfort room. I shook my head in confusion.

"What a surprise, Andy! You called me!" Wendy exclaimed after she answered my phone call.

Earlier, I was hesitating to call her thinking that I'll just disturb her. But look at what I did. I called her to ask an advice about my issue with Matthew.

"He's too hard to read, Wendy." I stated after I told her the whole story.

I heard her slight giggle but immediately became serious.

"First of all, why would you even hesitate calling me?!" She furiously said. "I even called you amidst of your busyness before! Besides, it's not that I'm a busy person. You know that." She laughed.

I shook my head and laid on my bed while listening to her.

"Second! If you'll be going on a club, the more you shouldn't hesitate smashing my number!"

"I know you would say that."

"Third! Girl, he's jealous." She slowly spoke using a modulated voice.

I immediately got up from my bed upon hearing that statement.

"What are you talking about?"

"Oh, you dense creature!"

"I'm not dense!"

"Yes, you are! He's jealous, Andy. I am too, though. But his jealousy was on the next level."

I shook my head, as if she can see me, "Enlighten me."

"He's not expecting you to tell him your secrets. But he's certain that you trust him."

"And?"

I heard her whined on the other line.

"He's jealous, alright! You entertained a random guy out there and even told them your problems."

"Huh? I didn't tell my-"

"So he concluded that your trust for him was too shallow that you've trusted a stranger more over him." She firmly interjected.

I was dumbfounded. I didn't know if Wendy was telling the truth or she's just bluffing me. We both remained silent. I didn't know what to say.

"But... I didn't even tell the stranger my problem." I blurted out after a few moment of silence between us.

"How could he conclude that immediately? Wendy, I didn't trust that man." I added.

"You should prove that to him, then."
